America is one of them, that is why the right-wingers want to force all liberals into submission, and change it into a Christian version of Iran.

This is exactly why, when I pray, I ask Jesus to bless Rush Limbaugh and people just like him that make a vast majority of right-wingers believe the lie that liberals are terrorist sympathizers, to keep doing what they do well.
Because once right-wingers stop believing their lies, and realize that terrorists hate the same things about America as right-wingers do.....the liberal elements of our society, we are all in real big trouble.

What is your definition of success and what is your definition of liberal? Some think France is becoming more conservative, but my argument is that it is not becoming more conservative, it is becoming more pragmatic but without losing their social programs. They may be becoming more reformed, but that doesn't mean they are becoming more conservative. They still have legalized abortions, universal healthcare, and all the other so called 'liberal' programs that Republicans are afraid of. And, the U.K isn't becoming more conservative but the labor party is especially under Tony Blair.
As far as conservative countries being successful??? What does that mean? The saudi's are a dictatorship, is that conservative or even a definition of success when there is so much poverty and Islamic extremism?
There isn't one conservative Latin American country that I can think of that is successful except for a very very small amount of the population of that country.
Sweden is very liberal but it is very successful too. But then again I'm sure the Swedes would have something to gripe about because no one is 100% happy with their government.
The Republicans don't like liberal countries because it threatens their welfare and domination of government for the rich and corporate to include the rest of us.
America is a great country but it is far from perfect. I love it enough to want to see it do even better for it's people and the people do better for it.

Maybe the idiot who rated crosseyed answer negative could mention a more successfull country? Maybe you could mention a country that does more good in the world, shares more technology, provides more leadership? Does the fact that some don't see the U.S. as a bad country bother you?

You want an example of a successful country that isn't liberal? I don't understand the question.

Norway is number 1 on the United Nations quality of life rankings. the United States is number 8. So there are 7 countries more successful than you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Development_Index

And in that is a major clue as to why America is commonly referred to as the richest third world country on Earth. U.S. Republicanism has more in common with Somalia or Tanzania, socially, than they do with France, Germany, Sweden or Canada.
