There are stories all over the world about young and old saving the lives of others regardless of the hazards.
It's a matterof how a person is brought up to respect life.

It depends on what bravery means to you. Are you asking about war time ,personal, or morally. Bravery to me is having the courage to help others in need, to go and help other countries in need, but most of all it means being able to admit when you have said or done something wrong. It takes a brave person in this world as we are now, to admit he or she is wrong. Bravery is not given to anyone of us ,it is a gift from God, as He is there when we need to be brave and don't desert us when we decide it will cost to much in the eyes of man. Man defines bravery in many ways and they are the first to run if he is in danger. Next time you ask this question, define it a little better

Not a damn thing. Bravery is in all people, military and civilian alike. It appears when it is needed. On the battlefield, helping someone in an accident, dialing 911, and going above and beyond yourself for others.

Hey dudes

Go search about Cpl Willie Apiata of the New Zealand SAS
while serving in Afgastan about 3 years ago he was involved in an action which this year 2007 had him awarded the VICTORIA CROSS
His unit was attacked by Afgani rebels, he was out front with two others, one was severally wounded. He sent the unwounded man back to the main group then picked up the wounded man and ran 70 metres under intense enemy fire and into return fire of his own guys.
The man he carried out survived
When told of his award, by his Co he said " I was just doing my job boss
Makes you proud to be a Kiwi
