I am flying down to San Antonio on Wednesday and I will be trying to get onto Lackland AFB on Thursday. We are not military and my boyfriend sent me three visitors passes. I know my mother will need her ID, but will I? I am 17 and still a dependant so will I need my license for getting on base or will it just be her? I can't find my license which is why I am asking this question. Thanks much!!!!

I have my birth certificate
I don't have a passport.

Are you a military dependent? or a civilian minor? If you are a military dependent all you need is your military ID to get in. I'm assuming since you got visitor passes from you BF that you are not military dependent. In that case you need a valid government ID. That can be a Driver's license or just a regular State ID, since you don't have a passport. Since you can't find your license, it doesn't take that long to get a State ID at your local DMV. Your mom needs to show ID as well. Even though you are 17, the military requires ID for people over 10 yrs (military) and civilians over 15 or 16. Either way, it is always a good idea to have a current form of ID on you at all times when you visit a military base. Congrats to your BF for graduating basic!!!!

You will need some form of ID most assuredly. If you can't get the license replaced in time, I would bring the school ID and your birth certificate...this should be fine as you are only 17. Also be sure to have the passes your boyfriend sent you along with all the information on his unit, class and any contact info you have for him there.

You will be fine. When I attended my sons graduation earlier this year they only asked for the drivers ID My sons girlfriend never was asked to show her ID... But, I would take your student ID just in case. It is still a form of ID that shows you are under 18

You can call and ask to make sure, but I think you will need some sort of ID with a picture. Do you have a student ID or a passport?

Passport is good to enter the base. There will be many visitors like yourself attending the graduation ceremony so the security at the gate wont give you a hard time.

Just to be safe, get an ID from your local dmv. It will come in handy until you get your learners. Especially if you need to catch an airplane for some reason.
