Want to get your opinion (not necessarily legal opinion) on this.

Is it possible for an otherwise "good" person to commit a crime because they have been forced into a desperate situation or does the act of committing the crime mean they are/were not a good person?

Of course for some people, the above question may also depend on what type of crime was committed.

The second question is this. Is it ever the case or even conceivable that a person's actions can "cause" a crime to be commited to them? example : a guy notices a guy taking lots of pictures of his young daughter getting out of a pool in swimsuit, confronts him and winds up hitting him (just an example)

I must repeat, not "necessarily" looking for legal but more people's gut opinions on these questions. btw that example is NOT real, just an example.

I recently re-enlisted into the Army, and even though they were understandingly forgiving for my past knuckleheadedness,I now fear rejection from future possible employers.I want to pursue a degree in college, but am very limited by my prior convictions. Most of them happened over 15 years ago,and consist of mostly misdemeanors, with one possible felony.None of the charges are sexual, violent,or drug related.I used to drink heavily, and was blacked out on alcohol on most of the charges.I also would like to hear about costs associated with this procedure,if anyone has been through this experience.

Just look at their history and you will see that bloodlust is in the American psyche.

First the Indians got in their way so they commited a genocide (killing at LEAST 2 million).

Then the blacks got “uppity” and demanded equality so they lynched many thousands (the killers repeatedly acquitted by all white juries).

Now the Muslims are the targets of their hatred.
Thank goodness I’m not a Muslim - there is no limit to the bloodthirstiness of Americans.

Both ran fundraising drives for $1 million. Ron Paul's started out as being for $500,000, but he eventually made it a million and made it in 6 days. Edwards is on his 10th day and is just shy of a million for his $1 million in 10 days drive.

Considering the differences in name recognition (and I don't think it is possible to "spam" campaign donations), doesn't this mean that Ron Paul is more legitimate of a candidate than John Edwards and if so, doesn't that make him a "top-tier" candidate?

How much longer will it be possible for the haters to deny that he is "top-tier?" Their arguments are falling apart faster than the New York Mets.

ranking marines have to address him by his title and then his last name. Corporals in the Marine Corps alot of times have command at the squad and at times at the platoon level. is this true for the other services? do E-4's in the other branches at times are responsible for a unit even at the platoon level or equivalent? also in the other services, must lower ranking enlisted address an E-4 by his/her title?

I'm not talking about any particular War or Country, just in general. Do you think that there would be an imediate nuclear war?
What do you think the consequences would be in the long run, overall?

can someone tell me what this editorial cartoon means... i have the cartoon siting in front of me so i will explain it to you. In the background of the cartoon a train is approaching.. in the front of the cartoon a man dressed in a suit is at the railroad station. he is behind a podium, (in the front of the podium, attached is a sign that says)"Thompson for president" the next important detail is his briefcase that reads 2008.(as big as day on the side bottom of the potium) There is nothing else around except for this man (and the dog in front of him who seems to be itching at fleas or something??) standing behind a podium at a train station reading from a piece of paper saying aloud "After careful deliberation ive decided to get on board.."

i would apprec. if you understand this cartoon to explain it to me because i am very confused thank you!!!!!!!

Could there be some way that the court could realize that I'm mature enough to get emancipated? Or would i go to some shelter cause my age? And if i had another place to live and have her be my guardian but my mother wouldn't let me could that be possible? Or would that not be emancipation and if it wouldn't what would it be?

A group of Hispanic people in Reno have called for a three-day boycott of all businesses in northern Nevada after a federal raid in which 54 suspected illegal workers were arrested.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials on Thursday raided 11 McDonald's restaurants owned by Reno businessman Luther Mack, leading to the arrests of several employees.
"We feel we Latinos have been bushwhacked, charred and ICE'd by our government," said Gilbert Cortez, president of Casa Latina Centro de Informacion, that "This land belongs to God and not to the United States."
Mack said he originally hired the workers and was surprised that people would lash out at him and his business on their behalf. "I was rather surprised and in fact hurt," Mack said. "I got victimized by the people I was trying to help. I got caught between a rock and hard spot, but I understand.

Isn't this biting the hand that fed them?
