basically it was created for the students whose grades arent so good. They're using the mentality that students who do bad are doing bad not because they arent trying, but because theyre just a little... less intelligent, and need more help. So everyone needs to take stupid standardized tests and whatnot so that the people who get low scores are pinpointed, and are put in remedial/slower moving classes to try and get them to learn. If you think about it, it is a SLIGHTLY good idea, because unless you dont try even on a standardized test, the test will show you whether you are smart but dont try, or if you truly need extra help that you havent been getting. This way, every student in theory will get the education they need. But of course, for those of us in higher level courses, standardized tests and such are just a hassle, and doing good is expected, doing bad makes us feel bad about ourselves. And even those who do bad that need help feel stupid as a result

There are no good points in the government running an educational system...why do people see the incompetent government buying $500 hammers and $1,000 toilet seats and then entrust the government with their children?

The good point is that it was written so that every child could learn to read at grade level but the stupid president forgot to fund it!!

Nothing except the title sounds good and people fall for it. So I guess it's good points are that if you are Bush then maybe, he got some votes for his deceptive bill.
