When John Edward's said they be more blacks in jail or dead he doesn't get the same response if a republican said it. If a Republican said it they be called a Racist and A bigot.

Americans think the other countries have crazy people for leaders but history has shown that only the United States has ever used a nuclear device on another. Hypocrites!

Get-tough laws that have put more teenagers in adult prisons since the early '90s conflict with a wave of new research suggesting how children can be set straight and society protected at the same time.
Since 1992, every state but Nebraska has made it easier to try juveniles as adults, and most states have legalized harsher sentences. Many states limit judges' discretion, sending all teens who commit serious offenses to adult courts, or allowing prosecutors to opt for adult prosecution.

my son was 16. He had his special permit. I was with him in passenger seat. He pulled into a "handicap" parking spot to let off his friend at a store. There was no other spots and no other way to turn around to get out of the lot. We were not even waiting for the boy. My son put the car in reverse, slammed on the breaks, since a local township police officer had just pulled behind us and blocked the path. He was nasty as could be, and said we were parked in a handicap spot, and was giving my son a ticket which he did. $100.00 at the time. I said nicely that I was the mom and that we weren't parked but only dropped off a boy and were pulling right out. He yelled and said you're getting a ticket too! I didn't. Court date, and the judge said guilty and fined us. I always felt this was not fair at all. The car was there for no more than 1 min. before my son started to back out. What is the opinion of others on this matter? Would you say the car was parked? What is the legal definition?

I don't think it would acceptable of the U.S. to back of from our countless promises.

Why should we just sit back and allow Communist China to take over the free island of Taiwan? I think this would also embolden Cmmunist China to become a super power even faster.

What do you think?

why outlaw drugs and not guns when the objects themselves are benign? - what causes problems is when the wrong (ex. unstable, mentally ill) people use either - but the same can be said for any object or substance at that point

drug laws are anti-American and support terrorism!

I say illegal because he was here illegally, working illegally and admitted to not paying any taxes whatsoever!

For 11 years, Pedro Zapeta, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, lived his version of the American dream in Stuart, Florida: washing dishes and living frugally to bring money back to his home country.

Two years ago, Zapeta (an illegal immigrant) was ready to return to Guatemala, so he carried a duffel bag filled with $59,000 -- all the cash he had scrimped and saved over the years -- to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

But when Zapeta tried to go through airport security, an officer spotted the money in the bag and called U.S. customs officials.

"They asked me how much money I had," Zapeta recalled, speaking to CNN in Spanish.

He told the customs officials $59,000. At that point, U.S. customs seized his money, setting off a two-year struggle for Zapeta to get it back.
