I would be even happier if We The People were the ones who determined who got in to be president instead of the electoral college. Which is NOT in the constitution. We are not a democracy as long as that is true.

You have a very valid point. There is a good argument that the Illuminati, and Bilderbergs put in who ever they want, and can throw the election any which way they want.
I also understand the company that builds and sell the election equipment, also has the final opportunity to print out the "official results" behind closed doors.
It is at least conceivable, that huge quantities of money controlled by the filthy and the rich, can put in which ever puppet president and government they choose. It is also conceivable we no longer really matter in the elections. I know: its arguable.

Yes, as long as it is an informed citizenry with the education and knowledge to guarantee a wise choice.
Which is why we are not a democracy, but a Representative govenment. Most of us do not know what is going on and thus cannot make an informed decision.
