NONE of these other countries would enjoy the freedoms they do if America wasn't here. We are the root of modern liberty and it was born here first. We are the model and example for every body else. If liberty vanishes here it vanishes every where. No country in history had the freedom we do. That's why America is such a miracle. People take it for granted that we have our liberty today but it is a true miracle. Individual liberty did not exist before us. If you kill it here you kill it everywhere. We may not be perfect and may not always be right but we are America. We light the way for the world and they all bring up the rear when it comes to freedom. If our torch goes out the world becomes very black very quickly.

America has it's problem but is compared with many other countries throughout the world it's an extremely free country. For example many countries such as China limit what you can access over the internet what you can write in the newspaper etc. If you're homosexual in a country such as Iran you're executed. In the US that doesn't happen, like I said we've got some problems but mainly due with the negative effects of capitalism and its interaction with government.

OK, one example of what we can do: we can call our President names, say he is a murderer, lawbreaker, etc. any other country if a person did that they would be jailed or killed.
Another thing: if you don't like where you are living, you can move, and you do not need to tell the police. You can get a parking ticket and not pay it; in Germany, they will break down your door and take what is required to pay the costs!
But, no, we are not a "free country"; "free" is a disillusion of the feeble minded. Everything has a cost; the cost of freedom is the need to die for your beliefs.

America is not a free country. The corruption is so predominant that whoever buys the elected officials gets to control America.

freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, the list goes on and on. the funny thing is how much some people hate this country but don't leave because they would be killed for saying what they think
