cho's weapon of choice was a 15 round 9mm Glock. If people can carry a gun to "defend" themselves do you really need a gun that has a 15 round capacity to do so? most of the civilians i know who have carry permits either carry a 6 round .38 revolver or a 7 round 1911. Who really needs that many bullets? (i am aware even if he had a .45 he could still just reload, but the more times he has to reload the more time he is spending without a loaded firearm in his hand). If you are truly defending yourself why can't you do it with a 6 or 7 round gun?

Many believe that Roe overstepped the boundaries of the juducial system. if you believe that the right to an abortion should be left up to the individual states, should the ban on certain procedures ALSO be left up to the states? And please, refrain from personal attacks and just answer the question.

Manhattan, NY: My court appointed defense attorney is virtually brain dead, neglectful, and about 22 years old (no offense). I simply can not let her represent me. She already allowed me to be sent to jail for 2 nights before I made bail.. and I have no criminal history whatsoever. My case was adjourned this morning until May 17, where I MUST show up with my own attorney. I have a little money but not much and I am looking for a lawyer who can help me. Preferably a good one (don't laugh). I'm charged with Grand Larceny (D Felony). I have a copy of the complaint against me and will be receiving my complete case file tomorrow morning from that nitwit attorney I mentioned above. Can someone help me?

Do you think the overwhelming amount of hatred and ridicule of Jewish people found in this group of Y!A is representative of national sentiment ?

I'm not one of those "anti-semitism" police, but It's surprising to hear all the anti-Jewish comments on here.

Please all women ( no matter race, sexuality, or religious beliefs)

Don't be fooled into thinking that partial birth abortions were something a selfish woman did because she didn't want her child. They were only given to women who lives were in severe danger, or the child were severely deformed or sickly. The law that passed yesterday still left it so these mothers could have a partial abortion....So ask yourself, if only certain people were getting partial abortions in the first place, why making a law stating that ONLY these mothers can get one? I'll tell you why it is a step to overturn a women's right to have and make a choice over her own body. And that ladies is the slippery slope to take away everything the WOMENS movement stood for....We only make .77 cent on the dollar versus men.....We make up over half of a population, why can't we decide what is right for our bodies. Nobody is saying abortion is right, but IT ISN'T ANYONES BUSINESS BUT THE WOMANS!!

What's Next.....

I believe psychology is a load of crap. What kind of science claims to know what's in the inside by just looking at what's on the outside? I also believe society has become too overmedicated. They prescribe pills for every little thing and make "diseases" out of things that are not. I think it kind of lets people off the hook. I think all this I'm not a scientologist and definitely not a conservative.

What do you all think?

"And yet, a psychiatrist who examined Cho found that he was not a danger to others, and he was never effectively intercepted along the way to his terrible rampage Monday."

"According to a doctor’s report accompanying the order, which was obtained by NBC News, Cho was “depressed,” but “his insight and judgment are normal.” The doctor, a clinical psychologist, noted that Cho “denies suicidal ideations” and concluded that while he could pose a threat to himself, he posed no threat to others. Cho was released."

I just can't imagine civilized people eating horsemeat. Raising horses for the purpose of killing them for their meat. They say by banning the sale of horsemeat, would lead to neglected horses that were of no use to their owners. Hmmmm They would just no longer be raising horses for slaughter. I can't even believe that I didn't know it was being done withing 100 miles of my home. A federal appeals court decided in March of 2007 to block the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture from providing horse meat inspections for a fee, which effectively will shut down this operation in Illinois. If that ruling is overturned, the only way to shut this Company down in DeKalb, IL is for the Governor of Illinois to sign legislation. Please citizens of Illinois write or call your legislators and tell them how you feel about this happening under our own noses. Let the people of France, Belgium and Japan raise their own horses for consumption. Are they starving in those countries with nothing else to eat?

Why did the supreme court go against Roosevelt(FDR) and his New Deal? I don't really think there was any reason to object. This basically not only helped the lower and the middle class but it also helped entire economy itself. Why would they object to this?

The person with the best explanation to why they opposed the idea gets 10 points(if you can though).

American second Amendment states "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. " since a Militia can have five somewhat different meanings:

1, Defense activity when it is defense of the public, its territory, property, and laws
2, The entire able-bodied male population of a community, town, or state, which can be called to arms against an invading enemy, to enforce the law, or to respond to a disaster
3, A private, non-government force, not necessarily directly supported or sanctioned by its government
4, An official reserve army, composed of citizen soldiers,
5, The national police forces

Should guns be allowed to be carried whilst the USA isn't at risk of loosing the security of a free State?

Have they instituted a ban on car bombs?
If they made car bombs illegal, or at least if they created "IED Free Zones", wouldn't that end most of the bloodshed? After all that is what is doing most of the killing.

Readers speak up: It's time to arm teachers

Time to arm administrators, teachers

The only thing that can effectively stop a bad guy with a gun intent on slaughter is a good guy with a gun intent on stopping him.

Schools have become such gun free zones that virtually anyone can walk onto a campus, hold hostage and murder at will. Even those in authority who are vested with their student's safety are helpless to resist.

Calls to disarm only the good guys are at best ill-conceived and are fraught with danger for the law-abiding. The bad guys will always be able to get guns. They know where the free fire zones are and where they can safely commit their mayhem to make whatever sick point they have in mind.

Perhaps it is time to come to our senses and arm our school administrators and faculty so that these mass killings on campuses across our nation can come to a screeching halt.
