I think we need a little positive energy this week...

If a person in America suffers a heart attack, people rush to the rescue. Help is instantaneous.
Mental health problems are a different matter altogether.
Having suffered from depression myself, I can say it is very difficult to get help. It can take weeks, even months, just to get to see a doctor. There is no emergency centers for people with mental health issues. No one comes to the rescue.
People with mental health issues are looked down upon even at hospitals.
Anyone who has suffered a mental health issue knows there comes a point where you need help right away. Oftentimes, that help cannot be found. Touchy feely crisis hotlines are of little help.
Is it time to consider emergency responders for mental health in this country, as well as physical health? Would this help avoid future tragedies like V Tech?

Gun control debate has been going on for years and will continue for years. Do you think people could at least show a little respect and stop politicizing this tragedy until the students are buried?

Here is the website. You don't need to have done any research on the subject. You don't even need a degree. Apparently you don't even have to use a real name. All you have to is print the form, sign it, and send it in and you're a scientist against global warming.

I mean one person so much damage. He had two pistols the two at Calobine had more firepower and did less damage then this nut. I think they really need to investagate this situation more closely.

Shouldn't there be some kind of a yearly evaluation of an independent controller. Most of our Politicians go only three times a year to actually debate something. Some of them are in Congress since 40 years and haven't done a damn thing. I would love to have an open record in same kind of understandeble format (no spin) for each member.

Why do they pretend to know more about geology, meteorology, and climatology then the scientists themselves?

I'm no global warming expert. That's why I base my beliefs on global warming on the experts in the subject. The scientifc concensus is that man made global warming is real.

LIST OF SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATION STATEMENTS ON GLOBAL WARMING
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkaO5Dnjg9b9aMfd2U07ACXty6IX?qid=20070419022039AAjSKhr

Now cons point out there is a small and diminishing minority of INDIVIDUAL scientists (like John Christy) who have doubts over the extent of man's effect on global warming.

But that's what it is: a MINORITY. Why are cons on the side of a minority when the MAJORITY of scientists says the opposite???

Whether man made global warming is real shouldn't be a political issue. It's a scientific issue. So who has the credibility? The majority of guys with Phds on the subject, or the minority who has some doubts?

Dont take you hatred for Bush into the next election. The Democrats will most definitly change our economy for the bad. Dont use this adminstration as a tool for your final decision. Our economy is booming even with high gas prices. Gotta hate those prices though.

Saw this on TV last night - and the fact that it didn't shock me is a sign of what is truly wrong. Monica Goodling - the 33 year old that was 3rd in line at the justice dept. and who just resigned IN DISGRACE had received her undergraduate degree at the "prestiged" Messiah College. No - not Harvard, Not yale, not even one of State colleges. Messiah College. A degree from Messiah College should be about as valuable as the toilet paper I wipe my *** with. Is their mascott the fighting Christies? (I stole that line direct from the show - I admit it). OK - so what - maybe she did her posgraduate work at a reputable school. NOPE - not this chick. She went to Pat Robertson's school of Law known as Regent. All you need to do to graduate is read one book - the bible and draw a pirate on the back of a match book (again quoting directly). Funny thing is - you would think maybe one or two of them snuck into the Bush admin - but the 150 he has working for him from there? Unless

You can't tell me all those girls are going to give their baby up for adoption. Many will keep their baby and taxes will have to be raised to help pay for the baby. Come on do you really think there is a difference of issues in regards to upper level Democrats and Republicans? Or is just a song and dance then compromise, in reality to get, "The Original Agenda" accomplished with minimal public scrutiny and using all of your hard earned tax dollars to do it. This question can also not be asked of the EU as there is a hard push to turn all these people into future tax paying Americans.
