Hon, I wouldn't say you'd be at the "bottom of the list" There are many police departments out there who will take a look at you. For example, Canton City Police Department (Canton, Ohio) and Pittsburgh Police Department (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) are two of the many departments that will highly and fairly consider you for law enforcement positions. I have siblings (2 brothers) who are police officers whom were hired within these establishments. Although both graduated high school, they (like yourself), elected to go for their Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. They had to take an exam (which all departments typically have prospective applicants take) and after successful passing of these exams, are further interviewed and finally hired. Call the human resources departments of both that I have given you and ask them what their qualifications are. I'm not sure if you would be interested in going to Ohio or Pennsylvania (depending on where you are). However, they will forward to you an application packet with all of the information needed. I'm wishing you the very best and the best of luck to you! Don't let anyone try to knock you down with making unnecessary and unneeded comments towards you. You asked a very good question and I'm responding with hopes that you will get your opportunity to pursue law enforcement. Good luck again, Hon!

I would'nt be worried about were you are at on the list, because you have to pass a polygraph screening as well as a background check and a psy-evaluation. Thats why there is few police and military personal because all of the restrictions that limit people from passing the screening process. You will get passed over quick if you have bad credit or to many parking or speeding tickets and ect. I don't care about all of that stuff when it comes to beening protected.
