absolutely. you will be given ample opportunity to pass the physical and mental tests that are given. as long as you show a willingness to succeed, They will work with you as much as they possibly can to ensure your passing. If, when all is said and done, you still can't squeak by with the minimum, then you will be given an Entry level Seperation and you will no longer be in the AF.

But you'd be surpised at how much your abilities improve over the course of BT.

Well, in all other branches, it's called BOOT camp. And the answer is yes, you do have to go through it if you join the air force. I don't know how it is in A.F. boot camp, but in the Navy, if you couldn't pass the physical requirements, you were left behind while everyone else graduated and went on to full military duty, until you could complete all physical requirements.

Before you join the military, you have to pass a medical test and an intelligence test (the ASVAB).

If they accept you, you can probably pass the physical training...although much work is needed on spelling. Yes, they care about that too. You have to fill out log books when you stand watch.

It's:

through...not trough

boot...not booth

thing...not thingni

And it's referred to as basic training or boot camp, not "thingies".

Yes you do.

I went through Air Force basic training 6 years ago. It is hard, it is boot camp. As long as you do what your told, and don't crack under pressure from the drill instructors, you will be OK

For those of you who believe it is easier, this fact is for you: Air Force Boot camp is interchangable with Army boot camp. If you go through boot camp with the U.S.A.F., and then want to switch into the Army, you do not need to go to boot camp again. Check it out, ask a recruiter if you do not believe me.

Yes you have to go to boot camp although it is not called boot camp in the AF. Its easier than any of the other branches but is not "easy" by any definition.

Trust me, you will pass the physical test, you'd be surprised what you can accomplish when you have a drill instructor screaming in your ear, failure becomes less of an option.

simple they train you and and bring you along physically a bit at a time at the basic training reception station they start to feed you up and work you out a little ,, like ten push-ups at a time and a run of a half mile as they do that they help with questions and how-tos and get you your supplies for training,, than at the basic course they will instruct you in all the basic skills for an airforce personel you are lucky, to have picked and qualified for them they arent as hardcore as what i did,, my training sargents were all fresh from viet nam ,,and really hard core killers ,, before i went i walked and ran every day and ate a lot to get bigger as i was under weight for the army airbourne ,, do some womens push-ups ten at a time on the knees then press the shoulders down between the hands at shoulder width do ten sit-ups at a time place the feet under a couch to do them ,,

Yes, basic training is standard for all of the armed forces. You have to take a basic physical test before you join up. Running, push-ups, etc. If you cant do it, you dont get in.

BMT is easy, as long as you don't get in fights and do what you're told. Come prepared, mentally and physically. The hardest things about basic is being away from your family. I did the PT test beginning of my 4th week. If you don't pass, you'll be recycled until you do pass.

Everyone in the military has to go through boot camp. It doesn't matter what race, ethnicity, or gender you are. Everyone has to do it.
