I bought a flat on 1st floor from a builder in Chennai about 5 years back. Water leaking from the upper floor in to my ceiling after 8 months of purchase. I've contacted the builder to rectify it and even after 1 year follow up he has not rectified it. Finally I have given written complaint and he gave me quotation to bare the expenses myself. However I did it on my own with some other person.
I want to know what is the guaranty period and can I go for consumer court for the negligence of work by builder as it is due to the construction problem.

In regard to what happened in virginia yesterday, do you think banning fire arms in US would help prevent future disasters?

To head off the liberal "whining", here's the story link...
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070417/ap_on_go_co/us_iraq

and here's the exact quote:

My feeling is at a certain point we're going to have a 'come-to-Jesus' moment in the caucus and talk about whether you fund (the war) or not," said Rep. Jim McDermott (voting record), D-Wash.

As cut and run is clearly and bluntly naked cowardice, and tax and spend welfare schemes clearly will have a disastrous effect on the economy, will Ms. Pelosi, now cast in the role (apparently from the quote) as heaven sent, now be exposed for the out of control liberal extremist she is and the peanut storage funding and other nonsensical pork addtions to this bill as only the first step to eventual (hopefully) liberal dissolutionment with this liberal demagogue.

There was not anyone around at the time I was picked up. I was nowhere close to my vehicle and I was not endangering myself. I got tired walking to a friends house, sat down, and eventually fell asleep. A cop woke me up. He didn't cite me then and said he would mail a citation.

I want to make a complaint to Interpol, not to french police.
I live in Paris, and I've been victim of a gang who stole me a lot of money on the internet. It's an international cybercriminality, so I think Interpol and FBI are the best to do the investigations and catch the criminals...

I live in Paris...

Help me, please...

The reason I ask is that listening on the news to the terrible injuries that Baha Musa suffered at the hands of the Duke of Lancasters regiment (who turned out to be an innocent man in the end!), he was quite literally literally beaten to death by fists, boots and rifles, suffering horrific injuries.

Although I think 4 were tried for his murder, they walked away free from a military court costing taxpayers £20m on account of a 'lack of evidence' and the presiding judge stating that he believed it was other soldiers from the same regiment that killed this man. Although no one knows who these 'others' are.... however someone must know something.

So does honour mean protecting those around you, no matter what?

This is not a dig at you, I'm genuinely interested from other BRITISH military personnel on whether you would offer the same sort of protection for one of your colleagues in these circumstances?

I read in one hospital they have been told to turn the bed sheets over,(when they can),rather than wash them for new patients ,to save money on the laundry bill. no wonder mrsa is on the increase.
and they have taken out every third light bulb in corridors, to save on the electric bill.
Where does all this money go?

The policy about how every country shouldnt have any nuclear weapons and that it should be illegal for any country to make nuclear weapons. Well tell me why it should be legal for countries to make nuclear weapons or why you think that they should stop the policy.

To start with I hold my hands up and agree I was speeding like an idiot!!

My driving has improved vastly since I got pulled over by the police in October last year. (I was doing an average of 98mph)

However, although I was issued with a ticket on the day, some 6 months later I still haven't had a summons or heard anything else about it.

The police officer that pulled me over said I should not worry about anything until I hear off them...... but of course I worry about it everyday - stupid I know but I love driving - need it for work etc etc - and yes I know I shouldn't have been speeding at the time but I was.

I was just wondering is there a cut off point to where the police can not convict you of the offence or is it just an on going thing until you hear off them?

I don't want to be 90 years old and still worrying about the afore mentioned problem.

Cheers for your response.

I am trying to keep a tally of the unsavory tactics and conduct of the White House involving the Bush administration and their associates. A lot of acts of cronyism at play here involving the Commander in Chief.

The latest ones, of course, involves Gonzales and Paul Wolfowitz.

It's a long and dirty laundry list so I don't want to miss out on any.

After yesterdays school massacre what do Americans think there should be stricter gun control laws. I know that there have been many incidents like this in the US and that working class black areas have long been plagued by gun crime. I know that in the US people see it as their constitutional right to bear arms but this was written in the 1700's and technology has made weapons much more deadly since then. Where I live in Ireland there are problems with gun crime but on nowhere near the same scale as in the US. There is a lot of violent crime involving knives and other weapons here and I know for a fact that if people here had easier access to guns that crime would instantly rocket as criminals would have access to more deadly force. What price are Americans prepared to pay for their right to bear arms as I am aware that at the time of the Vietnam war that more Americans died from guncrime at home than died in Vietnam.
