That the gunman in todays rampage had caught all the Y!A libs at the tofu bar instead of all those college students.

I can choose lots of examples, but I will go with global warming.

For the most part (maybe a few exceptions), none of us on these boards are global warming experts. We don't have degrees in geology, meteorology, or climatology and we don't do any actual research on the subject.

So why are we here trying to debate whether man made global warming is real or not?

We're not the experts. The guys with Phds in meteorology, geology, and climatology are the experts. And what are these people by and large saying? That yes, man made global warming is real. There are numerous SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATIONS that have already gone on record to support it. In contrasts cons only cite a handful of INDIVIDUAL scientists who have some doubt over how much (not whether) human activity are too blame.

Sounds really Christian to me. Wake up, get dressed, pray, lock and load, and get mentally ready to bust caps into people each day.

So this is your vision of civilization and following the teachings of Christ?

Being prepared to personally kill someone each day?

Have you guys considered either speaking to a mental health professional or your pastor?

You need help all the same. You are sick people.

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
Since the Framers found the first part so important they wrote a poorly formed sentence, could you please name the "well regulated" group you've joined?

A quote from someone in another Y!A question:

"Don Imus got fired not because of nappy head hoes statement, but because he was about to go public on 911.

He's a conservative and would have been more of a threat than Rosie coming out on 9/11."

-First of all Imus was a left of center individual, I mean he endorsed JOHN KERRY in 04 for God's sake. Also, what is this "go public with 9-11". You mean he was going to start talking like Rossie, lol you libs should have let him, that would have discredited him a lot more than calling a bunch of nappy headed chicks what they are.

Also, the people tearing him down for what he said were mainly teh ACLU type liberals. If they thought he was going to try to take down Bush you people would have let him do it.

About 6 years ago I planted a Bush in my yard, with relatively high hopes for it. But since about 2003, it has gone out of control!
It has become an embarassment to the neighborhood, it's uglyness, it's exhasuted flower buds, etc. I don't spend time in my yard anymore, because i don't wan't to be seen anywhere near it!

please help! what do i do???

What do they call the positions that no one ran for? There is a specific term for it similar to the common usage of "uncontested" for the positions in which only one person runs.

I think we need more holidays. There are none between the start of January and end of May. Even a 1 day holiday on a friday or monday is nice because you can take your vacation time to extend it and have yourself an extra long weekend.

First of all, do you think we should work less?

Second, if you'd like to work less, what are some good ideas for holidays?

I have one.

Election day to let people vote and celebrate democracy.

The New York Times did a poll in February 2007 and 84% of those polled thought the govt was lying, at least partly, about what really happened on 9/11.

So why then, are there so many people (or bots) on Yahoo Answers who make it seem like only 16% believe something, ANYTHING, the govt says is a lie?

If you took Yahoo Answers as being a truthful representation of how the country really feels about Bush and the federal govt in general, then you'd think this was a pro-Bush country who wanted to kill everything and everyone who has a different perspective on life than Bush.

Why is that? And how do you folks possibly believe, in light of the actual evidence you can see with your own eyes in the 9/11 pictures taken the day of the event, still think this govt is NOT involved up to their necks?

I cannot understand how gun control would have altered this situation at ALL!

If guns were 100% illegal in this country, this guy would have either gone underground to buy a gun, or simply used a bomb, right? After all, drugs are illegal in this country, and those are not impossible to get, so illegal guns would not be impossible to buy, either.

If we enact any other gun control measures in this country (no guns for felons, mentally unstable people, etc.), what would say that this guy could still have bought a gun? He may have never purchased a gun in his life, his mind might have been completely normal (at least, as far as a test was concerned)

So how could gun control have changed the situation? The only way I can see is that the anti-gun law on college campuses prevented a student from packing heat during the incident and putting a stop to the whole thing.

Can someone please explain how gun control would have prevented this???
