where an accident can happen in your home to your family? What good does an unloaded, locked away gun do in an emergency?

Iv heard that new cops need to be peper sprayed so they know what it feels like. that way they dont go around macing people all the time.
I was wondering if cops also had to be tazered so that they would be aware of the force they are in control of.
anyone know if this is true?

Should America put tighter restrictions on the ownership of weapons. Perhaps a gun buy-back scheme, where people get money for the handing over of their weapons.

Of course, we can also be worried that the responsible gun owners will do the right thing, and the criminals will now have the upper edge.

Please, everyone discuss your thoughts on the issue..

the cry of intolerance is, in and of itself, intolerant!
A christian's belief that certain things are wrong is a matter of conscience, but the Liberal view (usually democrats) that conservatives ACCEPT things that are against thier viewpoint is not being tolerant of the conservative's views and values.
They seem to want to take the option for dissent out of the process.
It surprises me that people do not see down the road nor do the see the big picture. Liberalism ALWAYS, but ALWAYS leads to ruin. the
don't ask- don't tell mentality is short lived and changes into
tell-don't complain which in turn becomes
accept-or-be-ostricised!
NONE of these positions is tolerant!
Don't you think that the champions of tolerance should put their money where their mouth is and shut up and tolerate those who differ in views and values?

So, i recieved a speeding ticket in san francisco where EVERYONE drives 10mph plus on 280 or 101, my story is, I was driving on the fast line about 70 mph 5 mph over(65 being the speed limit) and this car that was behind me approached me at a fast speed and decided to tailgate me and so i decided to drive a little fast and pull over so that person behind me can past me up......So the cop decided to pull that person over behind me and ME at the same time and gave us both speeding tickets for going 75 on a 65...

Question: 1.) Can a cop pull 2 people over with accurate readings of how fast they are going? espeically me? from just judgeing the car behind me?
2.) would i fight this in court?

How much money has been spent on it?

How much of that money could be used for much better causes such as helping the homeless and such? Maybe use the money to get healthcare for everyone? ;)

Is the war on drugs even working? Nope. Same amount of people still do drugs.

Would it be easier just to legalize? Yes. Drugs are never going to go away no matter what you do. Not only will legalizing it make it so it can be taxed it will help clean up alot of the crimes on the street and will give more room in jails for more important things. Such as people that are out there PHYSICALLY HURTING other people.

Violent crimes are way more of a threat to the public then drugs are. We should be spending more time with the Violent people then the teenage kid at the state park smoking a joint while he is walking around.

this is a really contraversial question, but do you think that people should have to have certain tests to make sure theyre mentally stable, able to look after a child before they have one or is it anyones right to have a child? i watched a programme where this blind couple had kids so they could look after them,i think thats wrong. Also know of drug addicts that have kids too get themselves housed...etc

OK, the reason why the program is in trouble is that people are having abortions and lowering the birthrate and the workforce is much smaller.

I'm not taking a moral judgement in this question just thinking. If they do start to cut people's social security, would they start with women who have had abortions and doctors who preform them?

So Im a victim of a Credit Card Fraud. The interesting thing is, unlike many other people who have no idea who has stolen their credit card, I know who the perp is.
(It is a cashier at a Starbucks)

What can I do?

All the well established scientific organizations (each which represent hundreds if not thousands of scientists) have gone public in support for man made global warming.

You cons see the scientific consensus and what do you say?

It's all just a vast socialist conspiracy. Organizations like NASA, the National Academy of Science, the American Meteorological Assocation, etc, etc, are all apparently socialist and want capitalism to fail. Either that or they're just after the global warming money.

If you can't trust scientists on science, who are you going to trust on scientific issues?

Please try to be honest if you can if you don't know say so I will still give you the two points no prob, but I would like good answers if I can get them. thanks

If something terribly happened, and the U.S. President Elect died, what would their title be in memorium? "President" isn't quite accurate, because they never got to take the oath of office or serve, but "President-Elect" seems too sad a statement of unrealized potential to use for all of history. Is there already a protocol for this eventuality? I realize it's morbid, but I'm curious.

Do you honestly believe & thus fear that the conflicts presently occurring in the Middle East will have serious repercussions in the Western World (notably in the United Stated) and eventually bring out World War III as an ultimate result?

Do you think that the U.S. Government is doing anything at all remotely helpful in order to avoid such a devastating worldwide disaster?

Do you also think that there is more than meets the eye regarding politics between the U.S. & the Middle East and that the purpose of this insane & crazy war in Iraq isn't solely a desperate & frantic quest to find the cheapest black gold?

In other words, what do you believe is the main reason behind the current conflict in the Middle East?

Serious answers from mature individuals only please.
