Yes anyone in the military should be allowed to drink. Ironically anyone not allowed to drink should not be allowed to vote.

The military is not subject to state or federal laws. It is subject to its own set of laws. However, several years ago, Congress passed a law (USC 10, Section 2683), that mandates that military bases adopt the exact same drinking age as the state (or country) that the base is located in. The minimum drinking age on a DoD installation located outside the United States is 18 years of age. Higher minimum drinking age is based on international treaties and agreements and on the local situation as determined by the local installation commander. This law is based on the determination that an individual is not yet mature enough to make good judgments and decisions under the influence of alcohol and statistics clearly show this to be the case. The fact that you are serving your country does not change the fact that minors, as a whole, are not capable of making good judgment choices when they are impaired with alcohol.

You posit that anyone and everyone should be allowed to drink, but then that's a different question you probably don't want to ask.
You also - incorrectly - draw a connection between service the military and a[n adult] privilege. As there is no reasonable connection, your question and implication is specious at best.
All that said, [you] follow the rules of the community in which you serve. It's always been that way, and there's no reasonable way to allow exceptions. Would you allow a 17-year old soldier to drink in a state where the legal age is 21? How would you enforce/allow such a provision?

Only idiots would say that you should have to be 21 to drink in the Military.
18 is the answer.

In the military and where you are stationed, our servicemen and women are allowed to drink under the age of 21. I believe this also applies to a number of states in the US

I've had this same discussion plenty of times. Especially when I was in the Marines at age 18.
Yes, I think certain people should receive some sort of special exemptions depending on what they do for a living.
If you can put your life on the line at 18, then you deserve to have a drink or 10 when you feel like it as long as it's not interfering with your duties.

I think everyone should be able to drink at 18. Countries that have lower age limits (as opposed to 21 years old) don't have any more alcohol problems than that U.S.
