Yeah, they are tazered for like 3 seconds in the time of their guidance to be qualified to apply a tazer, yet those whacks are tazering human beings for as much as ninety seconds (be taught that in the time of Florida) and KILLING human beings. initially tazers have been for use while it became into no longer risk-free for non deadly stress, and now they use them against us all the time. regulation enFORCEment has all new meanings these days.

We had the choice in police college whether or not to get pepper sprayed (but no one opted out, mostly because of peer pressure). I was sprayed and it was awful.
Tazers were recently introduced to our city and we have the option to be tazered or not. This time I WILL opt out. I really don't think I need to do it (I've seen others tazed and have see video tape of it)>

First off we do not get OC'ed to know what it feels like we get OC'ed to know how to still function after we accidentally get hit with spray or if an attacker uses spray on us etc. It hurts like a biatch. Second TASER not TAZER it is an acronym (Thoma A Swift Electric Rifle) and most departments including mine require you to get TASERed it also hurts like a biatch we refer to this fun part of training as the ride of life. And this also is for the same reason as above to speed recovery time and also on this one however it is partly to see and feel it be used so that we understand fully how it operates and what the side effects of it is. ...... Yes we do. And although it does hurt, your abilities come right back to you. Like putting your hands behind your back. Walking on your own. And no amount of tazering, by itself, has ever caused a single death. Only with combinations of certain drug use or other health problems has death occured. And not once right then and there, it was hours later, at the hospital.
For the thumbs down.....show me 1 only 1 case that a tazer alone caused death. .

Yes, they do have to get tazered and I hear it's the worst pain you will ever feel in your life. It shorts out all your muscles and brings you to the ground.

yes. in many states not all officers carry the tazer. if you are allowed to carry it, you have to be tazed as well. instead of shooting the prongs into the officer they are placed on the officer in a controlled manner. once they go to the ground it is stopped. but yes it is true. and no they don't shoot you with a 9mm. the liability is too high.

yes, many places do do that...i have some friends that are cops, and they had to go through both....
having been tazered and pepper sprayed myself (it was a dare and i was curious...by far not one of my most intelligent moments) i must say it is not all it's cracked up to be...i definitely wouldn't do that again...it hurt very badly..

I'm not an officer, but those I've talked to say that they are required to be tasered if they want to qualify to carry a taser. I'd like to try sometime just to see what it feels like. I just haven't figured out how to ask without sounding stranger than I actually am.
