Contact the police, file a report. Then call your credit card company so that they can get you credit for the fraudulent charges.
Also contact all three credit reporting agencies and submit to them a copy of the police report so that they can flag your reports as a fraud victim so that if you apply for credit in the future the fraud will not be held against you

Well you should get something from your credit card company that states the date you reported your card stolen, send that to the hot line so they can see the date you called and the date you reported it stolen. (you called on the 5th and reported it stolen the 8th) theres no way it can be fraud. You should pay them but if you don't it might be a mark on your credit score or go into collections, I'm not really sure how those places work.

I hate to hear that happen. It doesn't really matter who the suspect is, as long as you called your credit card company to stop this fraud. Even if you know this person, you have to have enough evidence prove it in order to make this a good case to sue him/her in small court. The most important thing is to file a hold through the 3 credit bureaus, FTC and file a police report. This happened to me before too but it's through a credit card check by someone I didn't know. Either way, I called the Fraud dept of my credit card company, FTC (very friendly) and file a report through the 3 credit bureaus(Trans Union, Experian & Equifax). The police report was useless for me but I highly recommend it, especially if you live in a small town with low crime rate. Good luck!

Credit card companies write off the greater majority of their 'skimming' fraud. After you've made an initial report to the police, and have reported it to the company, it's no longer your issue.
If you are intent on pursuing it, find out which squad/unit deals with fraud matters in your local area, and call them direct. You must remember, fraud squad detectives are used to chasing shadows; give them a tangible offender who's still operating, and they'll be all over it big time.

Each use is a felony. Go to your bank and dispute each and every charge. Tell them who you suspect. The bank is responsible to you - to give you back your money. If they want to go after the cashier is up to the bank.

Report it if you are absolutely sure the person did indeed steal it. It would help if you had witnesses.
