if the us wanted poltical power in the middle east why didn't we take control of afgan? If we wanted POWER there why didn't the US move with force? Did we believe that people will choose their own destiny like they did in the US? Do Muslim s believe in the same values?

More people than this are killed every day in Iraq.

Because they were killed in VA and not in Iraq it's horrible, tragic, unthinkable, disguisting, appalling, etc.?

Yes, it's horrible that some wackjob opened fire at a college campus.

Are the kids' lives more important than soldiers' lives or Iraqi lives?


40-50 killed in Iraq doesn't make the 10 o'clock news anymore, but a college shooting is soooo tragic?

I fail to see the difference between human lives and their worth.

I'd like to hear from someone who thinks they're qualified to assign value to life and death.

First off, I am willing to bet fire arms are illegal to have on that campus. Second, that person had fire arms even though it was illegal. Now if some others there had fire arms, couldn't they have defended themselves? I am not saying they should have fire arms, i just don't understand why people are blaming this on the second amendment.

People who have managed to talk themselves in to believing that God wants them to commit horrifically immoral acts are not people who will be deterred. They can be killed and they can be captured and they can lose their pool of new recruits due to reform in the Moslem world - and that is the only thing we can do with them, kill or capture.

This is not a war of choice, and it is not a war between reasonable people we can deal with - it is a war forced upon us by very unreasonable people.
