I know college police are not the brightest bulbs, but come on, that place should have been crawling with cops pronto after the first shooting.

Good question.I've heard about this all day on World CNN but don't know if anyone was killed or injured in the first shooting.

I was wondering the same thing. I read there was only one gunman and because there was a shooting in the dorm and the classroom, I thought there may have been two gunmen. I suppose he shot the first person in the dorms, walked out, walked across campus, and into the classroom. I am sure the campus is so big and the police have different protocols and procedures when something like this happens. How on earth could you single one lone gunman out of all of the college students there?

hi,
the two hour gap is a big question but who's to say that the college police had not called the others cops after the first shooting and after two hours of silence mad a bad judgment and canceled the first lock down after searching for the shooter, we will never really know what happen in that two hours and that will be what everyone will become focused on in a matter of a few weeks.

How long does it take to light a bowl of crystal meth, used to hiding that and cross a campus looking like every other student. AND I want a full tox screen as detailed as Anna Nicoles on his body. What did the Japanese take before they flew off? Don't you want to know was the guy impaired chemically? How exactly do u find these guys?

Blogasphere? A new day has dawned if u don't already know it. Block it out don't go there or stay in touch with different ideas and real life events if you can filter the stuff out. Reflect on why you went there in the first place??? um Don't watch alot of detailed student cell videos coming our way. Double standards and alot of evidence may come out of this.

What were the police supposed to be looking for? Perhaps you think the gunman wore a big orange sign that said, "I DID IT!"

He had a plan and it worked better than what the University planned for. Time to change how institutions respond.

That's what i was wondering. There were police and SWAT everywhere around there. And what about waiting 2 hours to send an email out telling about the shooting...they sent it out right when the second round of shooting occurred. And an email???? come on now, they should have been sending out more than an email
......a word of advice......if you are going to go to college, take your classes online in the safety of your own home

I don't understand that. Perhaps he just somehow 'blended' into the chaos after the first shooting, then wandered around until he found an area where it looked like people wouldn't be ready for him. Or, there could have been two shooters. Who knows? It'll probably be weeks before we have a clear timeline of events.

I am sure that is one of the questions that the victim's families are asking! We shouldn't be quick to judge but two hours seems like a long time to be around the campus and not be noticed.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions just yet. That question will be answered in due time. It doesn't make any sense right now to start spitting out theories but I can say this. It would not be hard to disappear in a campus that size for 2 hours.

I know it seems strange. I have been wondering the same thing since I heard about it. I guess the answers at least some of them will be on the evening news. Maybe they will have something further for you. Katy is supposed to report life from the campus at 6 pm.

Maybe the first one was well thought out as a diversion. We had an arsonist do that here, he set a fire on one side of town and when the firefighters were busy, he went to his real target on the other side of town and did some real damage.
