This should be the new Immigration Policy:

• If you wish to enter the US, and/or become a citizen, you must serve 2 years in the military (NOT IN THE NAVY ( there is no such thing as a gay Mexican)) with full training, and you time starts once you set foot in Iraq. Two (2) full years must be spent inorder for your time to count.
If you survive, you can take the Citizenship test.
* If you pass, you and 4, AND ONLY 4, immediate family members may become citizens.
* If you fail the test, restart the sequence, 2 more years and retest.

• If you are caught entering the US illegally, straight to Iraq, no training.

Sure. We used to recruit out of the Phillipines. Let them serve 4 years and then take the test for citizenship. I think that would be a great way to deal with immigration issues. They win and so do we.

I agree with several above: they definitely need to qualify. That would mean, like the code-talkers of WWII, they MUST speak English, though another language has been known to come in handy.

Still, there are applicants in their home countries who've waited over 30 years and followed every law to the T. It's a tough sell, telling those people we'll be letting a few hundred thousand in ahead of them and that they'll just have to wait another 30 or so.

No. If we can't fill our army without immigrants we wouldn't let in anyway, maybe we should stick to fighting wars that America wants.

You don't have to be an immigrant, or a legal resident, to serve in the US forces. In fact, illegal immigrants find this is one way to accelerate their way to citizenship.

If they pass screening, I have no problem with it being used as a legal way to get into the country legally.
