Both countries are the same:

You have to apply for a visa and have your fiance sponsor you. You have to wait in line like everyone else, and when you get it, you'll be allowed to travel to the country, marry, and eventually get citizenship (after some time as a resident).

After marriage according to Australian immigration legislation -you will not consider as an Australian unless you comply following process:-
You and your sponsor have to satisfy to Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affair about your genuine relationship before they issue a temporary spouse visa (for 2 years).
After that period both will ask to prove again that your relationship is genuinely ongoing along with other mandatory requirements.
Then DIMA will consider you as a permanent residence. After substantive waiting period you may apply for Australian citizenship. If that approve then you will consider as an Australian.
If you are outside Australia, you can apply under following visa subclass for residence
1)Spouse Temporary Visa (Subclass 309) and Permanent Visa (Subclass 100)
2)0r Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300)

If you are in Australia then bellow subclass will appropriate for you
3)Spouse temporary visa (subclass 820) and permanent visa (subclass 801)

For your kind information I like to mention- it is not easy to become an Australian residence or adopt Australian nationality.

What citizenship is candanian?
I think marrying a person to gain easy citizenship will have a big price to pay later during divorce & separation..

If you dont love the person enough to marry them just leave them, there are more than one ways to achieve citizenship....

If you're thinking of marrying someone just to be able to emigrate, think again.

That hasn't worked for decades. Try it on your own and don't burden some poor girl with deception just so you can get out of whatever place you come from.
