No their policy did not work. I must admit I do not know what I would do in that situation. But if five students would have attacked him at the same time, maybe a couple would have been killed, but he could have been stopped.

No the pokicy didn't work, but people seem to be able to get a gun if they really want to. Even here in Australia. We have tight gun laws but there are still shootings. I think what happened at Virginia Tech is an absolute tragedy and I am sure most Australians are feeling for those who have lost family or friends. My hopes and prayers now go to those injured, and hope they make a full recovery.

Matthew, you have posted 5 questions on this subject in the same day. Your questions are all slight variations on the same theme. Do they let you hold down a job? Or maybe a person with your, err, condition, can't have a driver's license? Or maybe you are12 years old and all finished with your homework? All I can say is, quit gloating over the deaths of these people.

Poor students is right. Faculty, too. My heart goes out to everyone of them and their families...
Unfortunately, the gun laws only help the criminals, they really don't make a difference for the law abiding people who want to defend themselves. If anything, it hurts us. If only someone would have had one on them, maybe that sicko wouldn't have killed as many people...

There is an obvious solution to the problem. Allow everybody to own a gun. If somebody tries to commit murder, any bystander with a gun has the right to shoot them.

I agree. If even one person would have been armed, many lives would have been saved.
