It depends on your speed. I was doing 57 in a 40 and my ticket was $258.00...ugh, not to mention I had to pay for traffic school on top of that...it ended up over 300 bucks just for 17 miles over the limit! (I live in California)

Depends where you live, bud. Here in Iowa if you go 20+ the school zone speed limit, you will be going to jail and a fine of AT LEAST $200.00.

Don't speed. It just isn't worth it.

In Michigan a school zone or construction zone violation is twice the amount of a normal citation. 10 over violation = $110 fine.....school zone = $220!!!!!

Fines usually double in school zones, it depends on your speed.

Not enough if you live in Texas, they still hang for horse theft, running down innocent kids I am sure is more valuabal than their horses slow down why do you think th signs are big enough to read

I don't know about Texas, but in Pennsylvania the penalty is beheading.

Well, in Austin, 12 mph over the limit will run you about $160.00

Actually, that's kind of on the cheap side.
