Why do they pretend to know more about geology, meteorology, and climatology then the scientists themselves?

I'm no global warming expert. That's why I base my beliefs on global warming on the experts in the subject. The scientifc concensus is that man made global warming is real.

LIST OF SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATION STATEMENTS ON GLOBAL WARMING

Now cons point out there is a small and diminishing minority of INDIVIDUAL scientists (like John Christy) who have doubts over the extent of man's effect on global warming.

But that's what it is: a MINORITY. Why are cons on the side of a minority when the MAJORITY of scientists says the opposite???

Whether man made global warming is real shouldn't be a political issue. It's a scientific issue. So who has the credibility? The majority of guys with Phds on the subject, or the minority who has some doubts?

Louis,

People didn't think the earth was flat in the 1400s. They believed the universe revolved around the sun. Get your facts straight. Religious people believed that. The first scientists like Copernicus, Kepler, Newton, Tycho, Galileo, did not.

There is not an overwhelming majority of scientist that agree that global warming exists and there is not even close to a majority that believe that man has caused a dramatic change to our climate.

Some scientists listed on some of these lists have publicly announced that they were not consulted and do not agree with the overall statement.

Its crazy. They are all also closer to God than Jesus was.

FYI - Global Cooling and Global Warming are synonymous. Both of them mean more extremes in weather and less gradual change. Global warming leads to global cooling ala an ice age. Its really tough for them to do any actual reading on anything that doesn't have bullet points.

If 99% of scientists reach a consensus based on questionable means and 1% believe something else but can prove their results through repeatable scientific methodology and experimentation. Who is right?

A lot of people, scientists, lawyers or candlestick makers all believing something does not make it a scientific fact. If they have no scientific method to prove their speculation then it is purely speculation regardless of the numbers in agreement.

Once every scientist believed the world was flat until one scientists, through scientific methods and experimentation proved other wise. Now not one scientist believes the world is flat. That is how it works.

Why do 90% of the Worlds leading scientists believe there is warming of the globe, but only 17% of those agree with Al Gores "global warming." I will side with the other 83% until there are actual facts.

Same scientific community had us in Global Cooling 30 years ago, they have a track record of being wrong, is it wrong for me to be skeptical?

Note I am not nor ever have pretended to be a scientist. But being a Scientist nor a consensus of them is infallible. (see above).

ADD: Here is one from the otherside "FYI - Global Cooling and Global Warming are synonymous" OKaaayyyy.. So I can safely say that man is causing Global Cooling. Thanks lib appreciate your logic and thought processes. I will use them as jokes at the office!

It becomes a political issue cause they want the people opinions and answers. The scientist should keep up on the research.

Why do libs side with the minority of economists who think that minimum wage has a positive impact on the poor?

Economics has been studied for 100 years. How long has global warming been studied?

BTW, our "minority" is alot bigger than yours.

If I had the time I could list just as many science sources that claim global warming was a farce. How can you say the dumbocrats know more about science if your example is accurate?

There are plenty of PhDs on the opposing side, the media just doesn't talk about them:

Check it out for yourself. I understand you're not used to doing that, but give it a try.
