Imprisoned Border Agent Ignacio Ramos was assaulted and beaten
in prison Saturday night following the airing of America's Most
Wanted, Ramos family members confirmed to Grassfire.org yesterday
afternoon.

Agent Ramos told his wife, Monica, that he was kicked multiple
times by up to five men with steel-toe boots, shouting profanities
in Spanish and saying "Kill the Border Agent." The family reported
to us that he had extensive injuries, was bleeding from the ear
and may not have received medical attention for up to 48 hours.

I am friends with some seniors in high school, and I know they drink at parties (I'm 14). I hang out with them a lot, and they're inviting me to a party this weekend (I can't go b/c of prior commitments). If I DID go and the police came, would anything happen to me if I had not been drinking? If I was drinking? Once again, this is theoretical (not that I would go to a drinking party anyway).

If you're reading the news lately, you find scandals after scandals. The leaders and role models in our society - those who are supposed to be the most mature, responsible, and inspiring - often fall flat on their faces. Where are the true leaders, visionaries and role models today? Why aren't people demanding a new standard to judge people by? Anyway, what does leadership mean to you?

Are there like regular police and courts in Iraq for the people there? Like if someone steals a car, do the cops go looking for them, and take them to court?

How's this for a way to recruit volunteers for Iraq?

Just plan a great big hunt in Iraq this Easter--and anyone who signs up for a tour of duty gets to join the hunt.

Only instead of eggs, you hunt for th e$12 billion in cash Bush lost. If you find it you get to keep it!

Makes as much sense as any of the GOP ideas! :)

Would it not be better to say something like God bless the sick, poor and starving of our world. This would at least give people around the world the impression that Americans care for them rather just caring for themseves.

I think they would make great running mates and would make an unstoppable team!
She's 59 and he's 45. If she ran for president and he ran for vice-president they would get 8 years together and then he would get another 8 years... it's my bubble...

Basically, what I mean is that a higher amount of tax is stripped away from higher money makers. The percentage stays the same for everyone, but the amount of dollar changes between people. Like lets say the Iraq War Tax is a fixed percentage at 5% for every American citizen's gross annual pay. The tax is mandatory for every American citizen. Even the president of the United States. So John Doe makes 30,000 gross each year and dishes out 5% for the mandatory war tax. Which equals to $1500. Which However, Mr. Bill Gates who probably makes 10,000,000,000 gross a year, dishes out $500,000,000. No one escapes it everyone is equal. Now I ask people to engage in this. Doesn't this seem right. Wont this help cut the gap between the rich and middle class? It may sound a little communist, but come on who doesn't want to be equal. Being better is not fair. Anyone have anything to say about this type of tax system?

It is so simplistic! Since Iraq's population is predominately Shia
Iran obviously would agressively aid their fellow Muslims!
Wasn't Bush in fact expecting an Iranian response? Wasn't Iran the target all along?

America is based on our politicians making compromises, from where Washington is, to the creation of a Federal Bank and Army, to the 1964 Voting Rights Act. So why don't politicians today compromise? Is there anyway to get America back on track?
