Are there like regular police and courts in Iraq for the people there? Like if someone steals a car, do the cops go looking for them, and take them to court?

well I can tell you that the 2006 year haven't been so well. Police are more worried to keep the peace in the country than your car. They are not concerned about that small problem. They got bigger problems.

They have police and courts, but they spend all their time trying to keep the peace. The Iraqi police work closely with the Iraqi and US Armies trying to get the country under control. They don't have time to hunt down regular criminals like our police do. They're more concerned with stopping suicide bombers and such.
