Write return to sender not at this address on the envelope and put it in the mail.

Despite their best efforts, occasionally mail is mis-delivered, or is delivered to an old location for an individual. If you are receiving mail for the previous resident and do not know their address, simply return the mail piece back to the mailstream (by leaving in a Collection Box or other mail receptacle) with the notation "Not at this address" marked on the envelope.

Reply to the senders that the former residents are no longer living in the address of your house.

I once asked the mailman this and he said to mark through the address vertically with a sharpy and write return on it.

I normally put them back in the out going section in the mail box. Never recieved them again. :)

Write "Not at this address, return to sender" and give it back to the post man.... they will stop eventually.
