All politicians are guilty of trying to hedge their bets when they can get away with it.

But the rhetoric employed by the Dems has consistently rested on US failure and defeat because it plays well to their leftist base, who have bet their entire ideology on America's defeat and humilitation.

The Democrat's dilemma is that they can't possibly win an election with only that base, so they have to pander to the patriotic Americans just enough not to alienate them completely.

Clearly, from their perspective, it would be best if America surrendered and admitted defeat. That would be the best possible outcome.

They could keep their lunatic anti-American, anti-Bush, base; and win over those disgusted that the Republicans and Bush managed to lose a war and sacrifice American lives for nothing.

But, oh dear. What if things turn around?

I just saw this amazing documentary that just came out called America: Freedom to Fascism. In it, the filmaker starts out by researching the fact that there really are no laws that require us to pay income tax despite the fact that people are put in jail all the time for not paying. The IRS knows it, but won't admit it. They fire any IRS agent that inquires about it. The congress knows it, but won't talk about it. Its really amazing! I would really recommend this movie to every American out there. So, if you saw this movie and were convinced that it was true, would you pay your income tax? By the way, 100% of our income tax money goes towards paying our national debt interest, not funding education, or building roads, or any other useful thing. And we wouldn't have interest to pay if the government printed its own money instead of having private bankers do it. The federal reserve is not part of the government! Its privately owned and the government has to borrow from them. Really!

It seems that people don't truely grasp what our military goes through for our freedom.Because following orders is considered honorable in their book?Alot of people in this country get hardly anywhere because they cannot follow the most simple orders.Go to school.Be at work on time.Clean up after yourself. But yet our military's main command is sacrifice in it's truest form. But still they are getting spat on.I don't understand.

AUSTIN, Texas - Bypassing the Legislature, Republican Gov. Rick Perry signed an order Friday making Texas the first state to require girls entering the sixth grade to get Gardasil, Merck & Co.'s new vaccine against the sexually transmitted virus that causes cervical cancer.

Merck is bankrolling efforts to pass state laws across the country mandating Gardasil for girls as young as 11 or 12. The federal government approved Gardasil in June, and a government advisory panel has recommended that all American girls get the shots before they are likely to be sexually active.

Question: Why not (at most) a government sponsored campaign asking parents to innoculate their children if this is such a problem? Why a law requiring the shot? What are your thoughts?

Governor Thompson has proposed that Iraq be made into a federal form of government (like the US, Canada and Germany for example). There would be three states within the federation - Kurdish, Sunni and Shia. There would be a federal government to deal with defence and the economic infrastructure. All citizens would recieve royalty payments from oil production (like they do in Alaska). He recognises there would be major issues to still work out. Any comments or other ideas? The other candidates don't seem to have the guts to state their own positions.

I recently got into a conversation with a seeminly intelligent young man, 18 years of age to be exact, and we started discussing the War on Terror, etc... Then out of nowhere he pulled this one on me "9/11 was an inside job, the US government brought down the twin towers to boost the economy and justify a war over oil and capital."

Needless to say I was dumbfounded for a moment but I picked my jaw up off the carpet and tried my best to convince him otherwise of his ignorance. There are so many things wrong with a scenario like the one he described that I am not even going to bother writing down the inumerable ways in which it can be proven DEAD WRONG. I am just wondering, have any of you ran into one of these brainwashed fools too? I thought they only existed on MTV and other low forms of popular entertainment but alas maybe it's a spreading disease of idiosy, who knows?

For years Liberals have complained about corporate tax breaks, passed environmental laws and supported Labor Unions which have caused American Companies to be unable to compete with foreign competitors. Now that these companies are shutting down their US operations and moving over seas, why aren't they rejoicing. I mean if Big Business was terrible isn't this a good thing? Doesn't this mean that the liberals accomplished what they set out to do?

And please no garbage about .25 an hour and sweat shops. At least the quarter was silver and it had some purchacing power. My first Job paid $1.00 an hour. People who worked out in the field made a $1.60. This was on a tobacco farm where we worked outside with no AC. I never complained that the people who worked in the field made more, I asked the boss when could I start working in the field. The reason I make over 20 times that today is I didn't wait for the government to make my life better.

I purchased a foreclosure on August 29th. After we had done a final walkthrough. Once we moved in we realized that there was hail damage to the roof from August 26th, (our new neighbors told us a hail storm came through) We had the roof checked out and sure enough the roof was damaged. (Not visible from the ground or at walkthrough) We contacted the Mortgage company's insurance, they came out and assessed it and aproved a payment for repair. Now the mortgage company is refusing to pay, they are keeping the money to cover what they lost in the short sale on the foreclosure. Is this even legal?

I had an inspection prior to the hail storm. I did not know a hail storm had came through until I had moved in and found out from the neighbors. There was noone living in the house so the sellers were not aware of the storm either. During the walkthrough there was no way from the ground I could tell there was any damage to the roof. Even when up there recently I was unable pointed out to me

Thier tactics use missiles that cannot be aimed properly.
You wonder why they use use such tactics? You try facing a superior force head on....... oh wait thats right they wouldnt face you head on they'd just bomb you.

For those of yall who say that those civilian casulties were okay that Isreal caused, cause they were aiding the enemy, I can counter that too.

Every single Israeli citizen was, is, or is gonna be part of the army, problem solved, now I can kill them to. Oh and they support the Israeli war machine with taxes.

Hezbollah arn't terrorists, they are more of a guerrilla force, sure there may be a few attacks across the borders, but they are mostly against military targets.
