They cant figure out who wants to run for office in 08 (the two 'powers' clinton/obama). They cant agree on what to do with Iraq and still have no plan except pull-out, (which wont work, because of the humanitarian crisis that would ensue). They still have no plan for the economy and the medical system. They want to raise my taxes, let all the illegal aliens go to college cheaper then I can. They want socialized medicine and health care (which from what I understand dont work real well in Canada (I could be wrong)). They want criminals to vote to boast their totals. The 100 hours of action was a joke. Now that all the Democrats control both houses, they all sit around, and go "gee George, what do ya think we should do next?"

So my friend and I are having a debate about Nelson Mandela: did he ruin South Africa (Specifically Johannesburg) or did he do the people Justice by establishing Democracy? because supposedly there was order before Mandela came into power and then after he did Johannesburg went "bad"...

I'm so confused about the whole thing and I was wondering if someone would like to shed some light on both sides of the story.

For many years it seemed that the more than 100 million victims of Communism would never be memoralized. Only recently has there been an effort to build a proper monument to their suffering.

What took so long?

Members of Congress and the Washington diplomatic corps along with government, religious, and ethnic officials attended the historic groundbreaking of the Victims of Communism Memorial in Washington, D.C. on September 27. "This is the world's first memorial dedicated to all the victims of communism," noted Dr. Lee Edwards, chairman of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation.

In her remarks, Under Secretary of State Paula Dobriansky urged the audience to "honor the victims of communism by not only breaking ground for this important monument, but also by re-dedicating ourselves to the struggle of promoting our ideals of democracy."

I understand its good to be critical and objective, etc. But do liberals take it too far? All they do is *****, moan, and criticize everything!
