It has nothing to do with FEMA. Florida is a much better organized, efficient, and governed place than Louisiana is. The Governor of Louisiana was to embarrassed to take the fall on Katrina so she had to point the blame somewhere else and of course the first person a democrat will blame is George bush. Katrina was a failure of state leadership.

Hopefully so has the country. The blame should have started with the people who refused to leave, then with the mayor who let all those buses float in the water and the Gov. who with held supplies so the people wouldn't ' be squatters' in the dome. Read Popular Sciences investigation into Katrina and it's a real eye opener to the real facts. Fema doesn't need to redeem themselves until the corrupt LA goverment does!!

Yeah that katrina thing, what a mess. FEMA sucks. (sarcasm) I was down there, I worked with FEMA. They did a hell of a good job. Maybe instead of watching CNN and focusing on the negative and bashing Bush whenever possible you could maybe join the rest of us in the real world. This bi-tching and criticizing of EVERYTHING is getting old.

They can't. I am from that area and the devastation is awful but nothing compared to Katrina.
Even if they camped there weeks before the tornado's hit in Florida the black eye of Katrina will never heal.

I hope so, and not just because it would be nice for FEMA to redeem itself. Those poor tornado-victims in Florida need all the assistance they can get.

I doubt it. FEMA probably hasn't learned a thing. There is so much mismanagement in government.
