no leave is authorized during Boot Camp and any Schools, unless the school is in session during the last 2 weeks of december, when it shuits down for the holiday.
But that 30 days is a misnomer.. you can't take it all at once, you can only take what you have earned( and you earn a few days each month) and you can't necessarily take it whenever you want.. the Mission will always come first.. if you are deployed, you can't take leave. If you are in training getting ready to deploy, you can't take leave. if the CO says you can't take leave, you can't take leave.

no, they kind of accumulate like a civilian job 2.5 days a month. However, they usually ask how much he wants to take after his MOS training, he shouldn't take 30 that means it will be a long time before he can take any more. Secondly, with the war going on they may just send him to IRAQ sorry.
So to get 30 takes a years so if he takes all 30 he will be in the hole so the days he earns will go back to make those days to then once they are made up then he can start earning again.
A suggest would be to take 10 days which is 4 months which he probably already did, then he will start earning morn and should have enough to come home for the next holiday

MOS =Military Occupational Specialty, its just a term for describing what kind of job they will do (as in "my MOS is cook, infantryman, pilot, etc, with fancy acronyms like 11B). Its not a school or anything you "begin."
They do say you get 30 days leave a year, but they must request leave, meaning they need permission, and its not guaranteed that they will get it when they want it. If he is in training (in camp or some school) he does not get to take leave during that time. If he is deployed to war he does get some leave every 6 months, but not much. Also, its highly improbable to get 30 days leave straight. Usually you can get maybe a week here, a week there, for x-mas or something.
Most guys do not end up using all their days and some of the days transfer over to the next year.

In the Marine Corps, you get a 20 day leave after Boot Camp.
Generally no leave is granted while attending an MOS school,
except during Christmas.
Best of luck to your boyfriend.

in case you've researched the agenda for his MOS college after boot (search for on-line for it), and he seems to be nonetheless in school on your wedding ceremony, no, the protection rigidity is purely now unlikely to care to enable him off. I propose you study what cases he receives off-base liberty, if in any respect, round your wedding ceremony date. Be warned that liberty should be taken away, regardless of the reality that. All in all I trust the different posters in putting forward that you're probable out of success in this. Oh, and remember to element in a unmarried-month MCT after his ten-day leave after boot camp (if he's not infantry - i'm not particular if infantry is going to MCT or to diverse education). i'm married to a Marine and we planned our wedding ceremony throughout the time of his leave after boot camp. Even then it grow to be tenuous because he ought to are growing held again for paying for ill or failing something. try to be tremendous versatile as a Marine spouse, fiancee or female friend, because the Marine Corps comes before such issues as weddings. verify which includes his recruiter now, before he leaves, and ensure he has the MOS you anticipate (my husband's replaced numerous cases by using place of work artwork issues, and he did not finally end up with what he needed). Then look into his orders heavily at the same time as he receives again from boot camp, study on-line how lengthy the college will be, and do the finest you may.

he does receive 30 days a year. that starts the day he walked into basic training. every year he is in the corp,or navy or what ever, he will get two and a half days a month for vacation(leave) so yes during his tour when he is going though mos training he is getting that leave time. It is up to his commanding officer when he can receive or take that leave. he has to put in for leave/pass,so it is up to him to put in for leave.....
