I am friends with some seniors in high school, and I know they drink at parties (I'm 14). I hang out with them a lot, and they're inviting me to a party this weekend (I can't go b/c of prior commitments). If I DID go and the police came, would anything happen to me if I had not been drinking? If I was drinking? Once again, this is theoretical (not that I would go to a drinking party anyway).

not only can you get in trouble but your friends could get charged for having you at a party with alcohol there.

Do something "pro-active" that might tell you the other side of drinking---Call your local Alcoholics Anonymous and ask about the "Ala-Teen" meetings in your area. Go to some of these and listen to the members (teenagers) tell how drinking has affected their lives. See what reality is.

Yes, you can get charged just for being there if you did not drink. If you did drink and the police came, you'd definitely get charged.
