Would a large storage bin about 4x3 and about 30 inches tall be big enough for at least one adult? also, could you use hamster bedding for substrate? I have seen it being used on videos posted by breeders.

I am thinking of getting a BD or a WD but i am not sure which one. I can get either one and then cage that the animal will be in a 55 gallon aquarium. What is the difference in the animals? One needs humidity and the other one does not need as much, right? I am not sure which one to get because i have heard that they both make excellent pets. Is one a whole lot harded to care for than the other? What is the similarities? Differences? Please, include whatever is necessary and useful in caring and loving for either one of the Dragons. Which one is more active? More fun?

What do you think i should do? Though, it may be out the door or kitty food by now... Anyway; I accidentally left the cage door open, i had the back door and front door open, but i would have probably seen it go out the front... but if it is still in the house, how should i find it? Our house is relatively small, but lots of nooks and crannies!

I was transporting my corn snake in a car, a VW polo 2006. I left him in the car to go to class, and checked on him before I left. When I came back 2 hrs later he was gone. The lid of the tank was slightly open, however he is strong enough to push the entire lid off and sometimes does, but has never actually left the tank. I cannot find him anywhere under the seats etc. Any idea where he could be?? is it possible he could be behind the dash board? Is it possible he could have escaped from the car?? I left several mice sitting around the car in the hope he would come out but he hasn't. Can anyone help?? He's about 3 feet long as still quite slender, his thickest part is no more than an inch wide.

I have two small red-eared sliders, and one of them seems to be having a problem with his shell. They both live in a ten gallon tank with lots of swimspace, a basking area, a filter and some plastic plants to hide in - I have taken very good care of them since I recieved them as an Easter gift in Spring. Both are active and strong.

Recently, one of my turtles has developed a problem with his shell. At the back top part of the shell, the plates have softened and look like they might come apart when touched. There is a white, thin buildup of some sort on that area of the shell. I think this may be caused from something in the water.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong and how I can treat it, as well as prevent it?

Thanks ahead of time!

I want to get a chamillion instead. I have approxomately 15 dollars to work with. (dont ask) Should i just get a bottle of fish food and sell the stuff, ( not the fish but everything else really.) on ebay for like 50 dollars as a fish kit and put it up for bids to get X-tra on it (considering its bidding on freakin ebay)? so that'll give me like 75 dollars. I just dont need the aquarium. so if i want a chamillion and i have a 100 dollar budget. what would be the things i need to buy and how much the cost will be?

not to be picky but please try to be specific.

He completely finished shedding, except for his feet. The dead skin has been stuck on there for almost 5 days now. I tried getting it off for him, but he freaked out, and struggled so hard that I was afraid he was going to hurt himself.

That dead skin is bad for him, I assume? What should I do?

I have been doing some research on bearded dragons and so I decided to get one. I brought home a small beardie.

That day he kept on shutting his eyes for a long period of time then opening them minutes later. He only ate three crickets. I thought young beardies eat alot?

Is there something wrong? I'm especially worried about the shutting eyes bit. He does that when I'm handling him

i have heard that its true and that it is also a myth, i give my bearded dragon water that drips into a dish and i also mist him with water from time to time, i do notice the water rolling down his head and he sticks his tongue out to drink it. but is it true that they also absorb the water into their skin rather than drinking it? i also give him fresh greens every day as well as feeding him crickets. thanks for your answers!!!
