What do I do to entice him? I don't have any worms or such to put on the food to wiggle so I need a way for him to be enticed to eat the veggies.

I know it's not because he isn't hungry, I will offer him veggies first before crickets. But he needs that balanced diet so what should I do?

his diet consists of meal worms, wax worms, kale, parsley, and collard greens. Other wise healthy and very active

hi =]

my 3 year old leopard tortoise had bubbles comin out of his mouth and nose about a 2 months ago, i took him to the vets and he had a injection, he was totally fine and normal after that, then yesterday a bubble came out of his nose again so today he went to the vets and he had a stronger longer lasting antibiotics injected in to him, the vet said he had an upper resprirartion infection, do you think he could have something up his nose, and what things should i feed him to help it eventually go, he has his temps up to about 30 degrees and 22 degrees at night, im just worried about him, and i hope im doin everything right or if there is anything i can do that will really help??
thanks

I have a 6 week old baby bearded dragon. I got him 2 weeks ago, and he was acting fine. He would spend most of the day basking, even though his rock has a hide in it. Just yesterday I noticed that he had been hiding in his rock and had gotten really dark. I wondered if it was Brumation but I know especially for babies it is really important that he be basking. Is it ok for him to be hiding? Or should I find him a rock without a hide in it. Do you think anything is wrong? Is this normal behavior.

And he is still eating normally.

My teacher today put them in a bucket of ice for a few minutes, turned it upside down, came back, took a pair of pliers, and then ripped out the frogs throat. We had to do this because we were trying to see a living parasite in the frog's lungs, which would have died with gas. Still, was that humane?

My sister-in-law almost stepped on a snake in our front yard and freaked out and killed it. I'm wondering if anyone knows the name of the snake and if it is poisonous. We live in Tucson, AZ. Here are links to the pictures, copy and paste:

We have lake in our community. I saw alligator in it yesterday (2 feet from bank of lake). I knew sometimes alligators come there. We usually call security, I don't know what happens next.
But anybody have any idea how can I keep my family safe as well as enjoy living in closeer to nature.

I would like to buy a nice cage can i do so without going over budget, I'm also interested in getting a tropical lizard that gets medium size can "chill" with me with out being flighty or stressed and eats insects. Or maybe an adult turtle (can i even buy one?).

I am purchasing a corn snake on friday. I will buy the following:
1 Corn Snake- 40
1 20 Gallon Long Aquarium w/ secure lid- 56
1 Basking bulb with fixture- 20
1 Under tank heating pad- 24
1 Night-Glo Black Bulb with fixture- 20
2 Half Log hides- 14
1 Large Corner Dish- 10
4 Pinkie mice- 11
1 Bag of Repti-Bark- 8
1 Digital Thermometer- 10
1 Hygrometer- 6

I have the under tank pad and the basking bulb on the same side. Is that okay? I plan for each light to be on for 12 and 12... ok? Should i get a UVA/UVB bulb or basking bulb? Does it matter? Could the UVA/UVB substitute the basking bulb? So, would the UTH, the UVA/UVB Bulb and the Black light be all the heat/light needed? What else would be good? Anything useless?

I have a juvenille bearded dragon and in addition to feeding him crickets daily, I offer him veggies (collard greens, squash, etc). Can I freeze chopped veggies to help them last longer so that I do not have to cut fresh veggies daily? If so, how long can I freeze them for? Any other methods people use to store and keep cut veggies longer?

Thanks!
