I'm going to a reptile show (never been to one). I would like to buy a nice cage can i do so without going over budget, I'm also interested in getting a tropical lizard that gets medium size can "chill" with me with out being flighty or stressed and eats insects. Or maybe an adult turtle (can i even buy one?).

What size lizard? I recomend Crested Geckos!!! I love them and they are sooooo chill! we have two Spiro and Pepper and we take them out daily. Spiro will eat crickets out of our fingers(kinda like a mini Jurassic Park) and they both eat babyfood off our fingers... Pepper wasn't tame at all when we got her but with a little love and some banana flavored baby food she loves being held! These little guys are so sweet! Good luck with whatever you pick! P.S. You don't need a huge cage for these guys. A ten gallon turned the tall way is fine for 1.

I had Chinese water dragons; they are tropical, about 3-3 feet long, and eat insects. Once they know you, they will sit with you for long periods of time. However, they do require a cage 4 feet high, 4 feet wide, 2 feet deep, with basking light and heated rock. That's kind of expensive. And they tend to rub their snouts raw on glass, so I made my cage with some plastic fencing material; they didn't rub much on that.
