i will take tricks, techniques, and whatever. also what is the best way of initially approaching them while still keeping them calm.

just handle it, How big is it, is it a baby? well if its a baby just hadle it ignore the pooping and let nip if it bites if its small but just handle it and let it get use to you ^_^ good luck

Approach your pet just as you would want to be approached given the situation was reversed.

Move slowly and don't jerk your hand back if it tries to bite you. After handling it on a regular basis, it will learn that you aren't going to harm it.

When you first pick it up, hold it gently against your chest, cover it's eyes while gently stroking it until it has calmed down.

Make sure you play with it every day or it will become skittish again! You can also feed it treats like live crickets from your hand to make it like you!
