I have a juvenille bearded dragon and in addition to feeding him crickets daily, I offer him veggies (collard greens, squash, etc). Can I freeze chopped veggies to help them last longer so that I do not have to cut fresh veggies daily? If so, how long can I freeze them for? Any other methods people use to store and keep cut veggies longer?

Thanks!

What I have done for my birds and reptiles is make veggie cubes. I put all the goods in a food processor. Then I put everything in an icecube tray add a little water and freeze it. They love it and it's super easy in the morning and there is little to clean up.

Tupperware actually has a special container that is meant to store fruits and veggies to keep them fresh longer. They are called FridgeSmart. They work pretty well.

You can usually freeze vegies and some fruits, but not greens. Just put them in a ziploc baggie and squeeze the air out. Mine will last about a week this way.

These days supermakets sell quick frozen veggies. Just defrost a little at a time.
