We rescued a small tortoise from the side of the road next to a big development. We have cordoned off half of our garden for him and have planted some grasses and geraniums for him. He also eats some of the weeds in his enclosure. When he seems bored we give him sprouts and cucumber as well. Just want to make sure this is good enough.

Hi, I have a 10 gallon tank that is not being used and I would like to get a lizard, however I do not want to have to buy a giant tank once the lizard is full grown. Are there any lizards that would be comfortable in a 10 gallon tank, even when full grown? This would also be my first lizard, so I don't want it to be too difficult to take care of. Thanks!

she is pregnat and kept digging around her cage looking for a safe place to burrow her eggs, a couple of days later she layed only one egg, then i noticed she is starting to become dehidrated and so im misting her now, and now a couple days after her first egg, she layed one more.
these eggs i would be pretty sure are fertile, though the one im incubating is as big as the CTRL key on your key board.
im really worried about her, she is really skinny now, and i put her in a 20 gallon bin thing filled with 1 foot of dirt and left her in for 3 hours with a light over it, she just sat in the same place for three hours, just laying there doing nothing,.
so what should i do?
she is skinny enough to see eggs in her stomach, i feed them crickets, i know i should give them lots more greens.

What colors are your crested geckos, and what morphs? I have two babies, both who seem orangish and appear to be either tigers/harleys/flames, but I have to see what they actually grow up to be and I am struggling at this ID thing. It was so hard for me to pick them out. One that I wanted kept running, but I got another one that was very cute and tiny and seemed a little shy, who was the same color. I don't want to scare them so I am trying to leave them alone but they are just so adorable! How much change can I expect as they grow? They are very young now, probably just a month or two old -- one is about two inches, one about an inch and a half. I had to get these two and I am hoping for a girl and boy, but if it's two males I am prepared to get two large tanks.

I notice a few days ago that my toroise has one swollen foot. Does it mean he has an infection or something? I've let him walk around on the ground and noticed that he doesn't put much pressure on that one foot, he is however able to move around. Is this normal, has anyone else experienced this problem with their tortoise? Please let me know?

I bought it a week ago, I understand it takes time for them to become easily tamed but all mine does is hide. I bought it this hollow plastic tree trunk and i pictured it going in and out. whenever i hold him he tries to get away and hide some more and today was feeding day and he turned down a thawed mouse. oh and i also want a different color snake which is now available and wasn't when i bought him. could there be something wrong with him?

i've noticed a build up on all my tanks of what can only be descibed as lime. no matter how hard i clean it, the stuff won't come off.

i've used spring water and city water. this seem to start when i used spring water to mist my tanks. then i switched to city water, and noticed no difference.

can some one suggest something that is save to get this gunk off my tanks. is this build up unsafe for my critters? i have a scorpion, millipede, crested gecko, and a tarantula.

what is causing this?

My tortouse looks fine, its eyes appear normal, the last few weeks were cold, he seems to be sneezing, is that possible? Could he have a cold? Do I need to have him checked out, or is he just going through hibernation? He doesn't eat much or move around much either.

I am leaving tomorrow on a road trip to California, (I live in Oklahoma), to visit my daughter. Thing is recently she had to give up her kitten and cannot have pets outside of a cage. So I am going to bring her my Anoles. How to keep them warm while traveling, I mean I will be driving until 10pm, then stop at a hote. where we can heat them up, then on the road first thing in the am, and then drive all day, should be in California by dinner time, will they be okay? I dont want them to die or anything.
