It is 1 - 2 inches long. it has a very dark shell, almost black. Its belly is golden/yellow with oblong circular shapes. and its skin is dark greenish with yellow stripes. And also, its shell looks very dry.

My turtle is an adolescent, I think. He is about a year and a half, 4 inches long. I have had him for roughly 7 months and he is now starting to gain a larger appetite. I want to take advantage of this change and offer him healthier foods that he didn't really even acknowledge before. I know vegetables are good for him, but he wouldn't eat them... until now. What can I offer him?

Ive pretty much got the concept of feeder mice...I have one last question though...How often should a carnivore lizard have fuzzies, assuming that a fuzzy would equal a complete meal?

Recently my Leopard tortoise Tank has become more adventures, and keeps climbing his little log tunnle. Of course once he's up he can't get down without rolling onto his back were then he is stuck. The last cople of days I've had to take his tunnle out when I leave for work, but then he doesn't have a good place to hide so he can cool off as well. I have hay and dirt in his table but he doesn't seem to dig or play in them but rarley. I know that the heat will basicly fry him when he's fliped but his tunnle is in the cooler part of his table so mostly I worry about suffocateing. Are there better things to put in his table that mabey he won't climb?

I've had this box turtle for about 15 years now and he has stayed about the same size, then I got him a terrarium that is 6ft long and started feeding him healthy turtle food from the pet store on a daily basis and I swear he has grown a lot in the past 2-3 weeks. It is hard for me to tell, but he looks huge compared to before. I swear his shell must be an additional 1/4 inch longer than just a few weeks ago. Could this be possible? Do turtles really grow that fast? His shell was about 4 1/2 inches long a few months ago when I last checked and It seems to be closing in on 5 full inches now. Is this just him being fat from eating so much? His body seems bigger and his neck seems longer too. He is also very active and energetic. How big do these things normally get? I don't want him to be 12 inches long in a year lol.

Im aware that some people think that giving rodents to bearded dragons is bad. Others feed them to dragons exclusively and have absolutely no issues. Im aware that mice or rats have less of an impaction issue than other things.... why? And how do you judge what size you should feed them... does it go by distance between the eyes, size of head, throat, etc..? Also what size rodents do you feed your bearded dragon?

My beardie cant stand his cage, picking at the carpet with his claws, rubbing his face against the glass, bobbing his head frequently. I took him out of his cage and put him on my bed, and he is walking along the edge, pacing, and every time he stops, he bobs his head. My first thought was "Mating Season" I know some animals and lizards have them, because he has never been like this in the 4 and a half months that ive had him. He keeps trying to make suicide jumps off my bed that is 3 feet from the ground. ive padded the floor with folded blankets with pillows on top for soft landings. I do that in case im not paying attention to him while im watching dvds on my computer which is 3 or 4 feet from my bed. Is he in mating season? or is he going nuts!

What kind of turtle do I have?
I bought a pair of turtles today in india , and I want to know what kind they are so I can take good care of them.

They're VERY small, about the size of a half dollar, any bigger. They are green with white stripes on their skin and yellow strip/spots on the sides of their faces. The shells are also green and swirly and have a thin yellow line around the edge. The bottom of the shells are yellow with swirly black spots.
