Is that normal? He's been alive for soooo long! My mom even threw him away once, thinking he was dead, so I fished him out and he was alive! The pet store owner said most die in 8 months, and well, mine's still living but he doesn't eat. I see him drink , but he ALWAYSSSS sleeps. Is anything wrong, or is that normal

I have an empty 10 gallon tank that is divided in half with one half being water 6 inches deep and the other side being 6 inches of dirt. There are various live plants and a fake log on the dirt portion. I am looking for a herp that would live comfortablly in this tank. I can add a filter if necessary. Must not be a picky eater or require a large amount of attention. Previous tennets were wood frogs, grey tree frogs, green tree frogs, american toads, mink frogs, and green frogs. Looking for something different.

My red-eared slider(who is maybe a year or two old now) keeps bobbing his head up and down and it may be just a habit he picked up, but i want to make sure he is okay...also, he points his neck out too and both of them keep their legs flipped up when they sleep...is that okay?

I need to know the best way to set up my aquarium, and what kind of items I need for it? Also whether or not I need to make it humid in there for it? I've heard that they don't like to be handled, should I not hold it? If anyone can give me Skunk gecko 101 I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I bought a new UVB 10 light for my turtles. I am afraid it might cause skin cancer, so can I switch it on when I'm sleeping at night time. I know the maximum to switch on for a day is 12 hrs.

Hello, so I had a couple of questions. I'm on my second bearded dragon. My first one died mysteriously when I found him on his back with paralysis in his back limbs. We put him down and about 6 months aftwerward I got a new one. Other than being aggressive, (which is starting to annoy me how do i get rid of that?) his tail is almost black, he's an orange beardie so i don't think that's normal. Do any of you know about that happening? and what I should do to help him out?

I wanted to soak my tortoise, so I had filled his tub half way with warm water, then I noticed when I had put him in he had just sunk to the bottom. I then saw little air bubbles come from his nose as well as a fart, so I got scared and I released some water. I left enough to cover the bottom of his shell, making sure that his head stayed above the water. Can he actually swim under water, or was I about to accidently drown him? Please advise?

I want to soak my tortoise, but I am not sure how high should I fill his tub. I filled it halfway and I just seen him sink straight to the bottom and air bubbles came out from his nose as well as a fart, so I got scared and removed some of the water. I left just enough to cover his bottom of his shell. Can he swim, or was I just about to accidently drown him?
