Ok I need serious answers please. My bearded dragon's about 4-5 years (he's sort of a rescue I suppose you could say). I've had him for two of those years.
For about 6 months he's been wagging his tail when I take him out of his tank. He'll hang off my shirt or sit on my shoulder or head and his tail will wagg. Even when I'm sitting still.
The only reason I can come up with is that he's happy. But I didn't think that Beardies did that...
He's had other odd habits as well, when I first got him he was so stressed that he would hiss and charge and bite and whip his tail. He only drew blood once by whipping his tail.
He's a weirdo and a mommy's boy now. Cuddles into my neck and hides in my hair.
So real question, (it's coming I swear), why does he do this? Is he copying my dogs actions? Wagging because he's happy? Or is there another reason, does someone else have any ideas or does their beardie do this too?
Any insight or stories would be wonderful. Thanks much!

My "BTS" - Sheldon is growing now and its nails ( Claws ) are getting sharper and painful when I allow him to climb on me....is there anyway I can cut them? if so....how can I do this without him freaking out on me? Please; serious answers.......

Hi, i have a Ball Python thats a great eater. Hardly refuses food(going on a month) but of late shes been resisting food,acting different.She is about 2 feet long.She has been making weird noises coming from her nose and tends to rub her nose against what ever is around. She tends to be making the noises more often now..She hasnt shed in a while but always sheds in one peice(55 gal tank,3 hiding places,right temps,large water bowl and everything). She has been acting weird for a while now.Please help.I'm really worring.Could she be sick?

My snakes are both approx 7 months old. they are housed together and recently have been coming in contact more than usual. they move around together so much that they are moving their hide box around. lately, if i go to grab them they get into a striking position and have been a little bit more aggressive than usually, (especially the male) is this mating season? and could they be doing it? also if they are, should i eventually seperate them, or what? thanks on any help.

ok elvis the iguana won't eat what he should. i know what he needs to eat but i can't get him to eat it. i know the leafy greens(no iceburg) orange veggie fruits only as treats. no animal protien. i have the t rex bulds in there too. but all elvis will eat is rasberrys and thing mixed up in jello. if it's pureed up in the jello he goes nuts i put the vitamins in there too. i keep getting mixed responses if the jello is harming him if he gets all the veggies in too. if not what can i do to get him to eat the veggies straight. i don't mind the money or time i got it. but how do i get him to eat it? he will eat rasberrys out of my hand and i tricked him into parsley once but he spit it out. i just don't know how to get him to eat it. i thought the jello was ok, couse he is still getting the nutrents of the veggies. i just don't know HOW! i know WHat but i need to know HOW. Help please!!

i recently purchased a baby red ear slider, she seems to be shedding an excessive amount of skin (i don't know if it's really skin but there is alot of sludge /slime at the bottom of the tank). i clean her tank every week but it's still there and it's also around her neck!!! she is eating well and is also very active, i don't know what wrong, HELPP!!! any suggestions???

i have two hermit crabs and one of my hermit crab disappeared and i dont know where it is. it's not in its shell and ive cleaned the cage and there was no dead hermit crab body. could the other hermit crab eaten it? but it's smaller than the one that disappeared so im kind of doubting that. and also it was here the night before and now it's just poof! gone. any help on what happened to my poor Herbie ?

I got a turtle yesterday but i have no idea how to take care of it! I have it in a small tank and i feed it lettuce, thin sliced carrots, and sometimes tortia! I let it walk around a bit for exercis but he still seems, board. Another question, hoe do i know if it is a boy or girl? HELP!!!!!!!!!

I recently got a sand fish skink. I have the cage and everything alrady set up. Is there anyone else who has one as a pet or has had one? Is there anything that I should know about them? Is there any other type of skink that I can put in to cage with it? Right now I have it in a 29 gallon aquarium.

I am going to get a ball python, and the only place near me to get one only feeds their snakes live mice...is their any way to switch the snake from eating live mice, to frozen ones, or should i look and order a snake from a place that already feeds it dead mice

i have two baby ig questions and i bought 2 igs about 2 months ago, and they fight over their sides of the cage, like bob-heading , etc. ive took out there deadwood thing they bask on and its the hihest point of there cage, once i took it out there fine but after that i took the one out that was being bittne alot by the other one and its left elbow was really SWOLLEN! i made a splint for it but what should i do ?

I don't know what to do. My ball python hasn't eaten in over 4 months. When I went to the vet, an x-ray showed that there were 2 rats still in him. I kinda got the feeling that my vet didn't know what to do. He told me to try to get him to drink oil. I can't find any herp vets in my area. What should I do about my poor python?

i got my husband an iquana when he graduated fromcollege in febuary. they said he was about 5 months old. i have been haveing the hardest timegetting him to eat. tryed putting green chopped up with fruit in his bowl he wouldn't eat that. i got the soft jell iquana food, he ate a little of that not much. i got the canned iguanna juvenile food he did ok with that but still not great. So i tryed pureeing the fruits and vegys and putting it in sugar free jello. he loves it but i am afraid it might be bad for him. Am i doing more harm than good for elivis the iguana?
