I recently got a sand fish skink. I have the cage and everything alrady set up. Is there anyone else who has one as a pet or has had one? Is there anything that I should know about them? Is there any other type of skink that I can put in to cage with it? Right now I have it in a 29 gallon aquarium.

Ideal daytime temperature should be between 80 and 85 degrees. Night-time temperature should remain between 70-80 degrees. A basking area should be created on one end of the enclosure to maintain a local temperature of 95-110 degrees. They also need a 5.0 UVB light, and a shallow bowl of water. They should be feed a diet of a variety of insects such as crickets, mealworms, superworms and waxworms. Good luck.
