If you got it on the 13th it's hardly been a day.
Most reptiles can be stressed when bought since they tend to go through a complete enviorment change. Stress can cause loss of appetite.
Offer 5 crickets a day, dont leave them in the cage over night. If you go to take the crickets out and theres only a couple left they are eating.
Is the gecko's tail nice and plump? As long as the leo is a good healthy specimen I wouldnt be to concerned, offer 5 crickets a day, let it settle in. If it starts loseing a lot of fat and is not eating I'd take it to a vet or have a fecal check done for parasites.

Not all reptiles like to eat worms and crickets, they are actually picky eaters. If this is something they told you where you got it from they it liked then perhaps give the gecko time to get used to its environment, try some chopped greens bite size. They do not chew so its hard to swallow big bites. Also, you may want to try different fruits or vegetables.Broccoli always seems to be a favorite as well as strawberries.Remember fruits and vegetables are to be used sparingly and maintaining a good leafy green diet is always exceptional to all reptiles.Maybe your gecko doesn't like its food alive either,do you?You can find freeze dried crickets at pet stores.Take your time and be patient.I'm sure your new pet will come along soon.Try handling it as much as you can too, this will help with the bonding period reptiles take on.The more comfortable you make it feel the more comfortable they become.

If you're overfeeding it, more than five or six crickets at a time, then he will be overwhelmed and stressed out, causing him to hide. Too many crickets can actually kill a leopard gecko with stress and eventually they will feed off of him. Or, maybe the size of the crickets is too big? If he's small as your index finger, stick to small crickets. Or baby crickets. If he's bigger than your index finger, medium size crickets. If you have a full grown gecko who isn't eating, he could be either impacted from improper substrate(sand can be lethal if they ingest too much, stick to paper towels)or he could simply be too old or have another disease. Take him to a vet. They can really help. With mealworms, make sure you only feed him those once or twice a week, with only one cricket feeding of four or so. One or two mealworms at a time. If you just got him yesterday, he could already be full from his last feeding. I only feed my leopard gecko once a week. So don't freak out just yet. They don't eat all that often, because they don't need to. They store fat in their tail so they can survive for long periods without food. He might just not have the killer instinct to eat that often. So wait it out a few days, and if he isn't eating the crickets you put it, take them out. They will affect his behavior. Put some more in after a few days, and make sure it isn't too many. Try two or three at a time, smaller in size. He might be easily intimidated. I hope I could help.

No, Sweetie, not all reptiles eat fruits and vegetables. Leopard geckos are strictly carnivorous. Make sure his cage is properly heated, like others said, so he can digest his food. There are reptile lights and heating pads for beneath the tank available. Get a book on your pet, so you know what is best, or visit reptile sites online. Also, someone said he may still be full from when they fed him at the pet store. Good point.

When I purchased my leopard....she wouldn't eat for almost three weeks. Some of it was adjusting to the new environment and after returning to the pet store to ask about her, she had been returned by a family who couldn't get her to eat. I tried to get her, millworms, wax worms (which really should only be used as treats,) a pinkie and crickets. Finally after I really thought she was going to starve herself to death, she ate some calcium dusted crickets. I also changed the setup of her tank and have been regulating her tank temp better....she is eating regularly and more active now. Good Luck!!!

Jose, call the local vivarium. check the yellow pages. These caretakers of leopard geckos know more about these species than most. The environment is very important as well.
They need to be checked for mites
every so often cause the bedding gets gnarly.
good luck. my kids wanted one...too much work..

Animals sometimes just need time to get used to their new environments before they feel comfortable eating. Since you only got it yesterday, it might not feel ready to start eating. I don’t think it’s anything to really worry about, and I don’t think you should try to force it, either, because that will only distress it further. Unless 2-3 more days go by, I would just keep the area around him calm and let it eat when it feels ready.

You have to make sure that the temperature is right. IF it is winter in your part of the world it is not unusual for reptiles to go off their food fror a short period. If his tail is very thin or his bones are sticking around his back legs, then he is malnourished, if his tail is fat/etc and you can't see any bone sticking out, then it is fine. Also try cockroaches to.
