Hi, I have a 10 gallon tank that is not being used and I would like to get a lizard, however I do not want to have to buy a giant tank once the lizard is full grown. Are there any lizards that would be comfortable in a 10 gallon tank, even when full grown? This would also be my first lizard, so I don't want it to be too difficult to take care of. Thanks!

You could get two green anoles. They are comfy in a 10gal, but make sure its two females or one male one female, as two males will fight.

They need to be fed dusted pinhead crickets(or a little larger, but not bigger than the space between his eyes), they need a UV light(I think a 2 or 3.0 would be ok), they need a basking spot, and they need water that drips as most anoles only drink when they can hear or see dripping water.

They only cost about $7 a piece, and are really fun to watch. its really up to you, but do your research well, as these lizards are 'disposable' and most pet stores will tell you lies about them to get you to buy one, kill it, and come back to replace it. Its a sad, sad truth. They could make so much more if they promoted them, and gave the right size tank and all. Then people would be back buying more because they like them, not because they died.

Good luck though!
