Help!!!!!!how can you tell if a turtle (water) is male or female??????????????????????????????

You cannot tell until they hit maturity- usually around 4" long.

Males will have in-curved bellies, and long skinny tails. Male sliders and some other species have long fore claws.

Females have flat or out-curved bellies, with shorter, wider tails.

The way you tell is if you feel the bottom of the turtle and there is a dip in it, it is a boy, if not, it is a girl.
