I have a saltwater tank and after the last fish died, I just turned the tank off. There is still water in there and the live rock is still in there. I want to start my tank up again. So do I need to throw the live rock away and buy some more or what?

Hi i bought two male bettas (Walker and Texas Ranger) almost a year ago from my lfs (don't worry they're in separate tanks) and one of them (Texas Ranger) is acting very listless lately. Actually about a week ago i came back from a weekend away and Texas had a fungus all over his tail. So I treated that and just did my 25% water change yesterday as per the instructions on the broad spectrum fungus meds. His tail looks awesome but his spirit has died. he's either perched on a suction cup at the top of the tank so he doesn't have to move far to get a breath of air, or he's shoved himself under a piece of driftwood at the bottom of the tank. He still is interested in eating but he's very slow and the danios that share the 33 g tank with him usually beat him out. anyone had this happen before? I put him in a small vase about 1/2hr ago to give him a break from the currents and to give him a chance to eat on his own. My other betta is still healthy as ever. All water levels are fine.

I want to buy some nice apple snails for my nano planted tank. I live in Toronto, is there an apple-snail store around ? And it's better if a online apple-snail shop can ship to my place.
Thanks for reading !

I have a freshwater tank with 3 tetra, 1 Ram Chiclid, and a bottom feeder. I am having problems with the Ram. i just got all of these fish a month ago and already have changed the water. I first noticed the Ram hanging out on the bottom of the tank 4 days ago (I know that is a HUGE red flag). The next day I noticed he had a sort of fuzz looking thing on his top fin ( I figured it was fungus) So I went to PetSmart and bought fungus tablets and it said for a 5 gallon tank use a half a tablet and the sales person told me use a quater tablet since tetra a very sensitive. The next day the fungus went down and he seemed to be breathing better but today he's still down at the bottom and it looks like the fugus is on his face as well and he is gasping for air. I know this doesn't look good at all but what can i do? Go for a second dose? HELP!

The fish I wanna get need 2 seperate habitats in the tank as they are mildy agressive but at full grown need 65-80 Gallons. Its not a waste of money to me cause I have other aquariums I can upgrade and the 35 is at an amazing bargan in the store with a ton of valuable supplies. Then at x-mas Ill get the 80 Gallons cause I know of a huge sale then for one great set.

I mean I'm trying to tell them that the bigger the aquarium the easier it is to take care of. Even some of my parents friends who have had there own fish shops for over 30 years say that the best way to go. The tank I want to buy is 36"x15"x24". And I have 2 small aquariums and I have fish that are about to have fry. Help!!! Experts only.

I have a snail infestation in one of my 8 gallons and was told a way to control them was to put some lettuce or cucumber on the bottom of the tank and a day or so later it should be covered in snails and you just throw the snails out,

I put some cucumber in a small cup and put it upside-down in the tank, but they keep floating to the top of the glass (its clear). How do I get it to stay on the bottom?

Also, are there any small loaches or other snail-eaters that would get along with mollies and platies?

Ok, I'm confused about my bettas. one boy and one girl. I put them in the same tank with deviders in it because I don't want a tank full of baby betta fish!! My 4 year old sister did the same thing, she put deviders in the tank but,,, the baby fish got an ick and died. then, we kept her other fish but it got the same ick and died also, it must have passed the ick on to it because they were in the same tank.... Should I leave my fish with deviders or separate them into different tanks???? HELP

I’m doing a water change weekly trying to keep the nitrite down and then I have to buy distilled water to get the pH down. My water change is 3 parts distilled water to one part tap/well water. This is a lot of work! It’s a 10 gal freshwater tank with 3 black tetras and 4 Serpae tetras. Too many fish??? Oh, and I only feed them twice a week. Tank is one month old and has been a problem from the beginning.
What do I have to do to my tank to keep the nitrites down without a weekly water change?
