If it's a new tank or you've recently changed out all the water in your tank, then the cloudiness is ammonia. It happens when there are not enough nitrifying bacteria in the tank to break the ammonia down. The best thing you can do is either wait and hope your fish survive (it could take as long as six weeks to disappear on its own), or go to your local fish store and buy nitrifying bacteria. It comes in a bottle and you just add it to your tank according to how big your tank is.

in case you have 4 goldies i'm assuming you have an sufficient tank length, of a minimum of 50+ gallons as goldfish require 10-15 gallons according to fish. I additionally propose a filter out that handles double the potential of your tank. I even have 4 goldies in a fifty 5 gallon with a a hundred and ten gallon rated filter out. with out an sufficient tank and filtration gadget you're putting your self up for ill and loss of life fish. Is your tank cycled? A cycling tank could be examined another day. A cycled tank could be examined as quickly as a week. All fish proprietors could have a drop attempt kit reachable for pH, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and hardness/softness. Goldfish require cooler water of 60-seventy 5 F. They require alkaline water, it quite is the pH and because a 7.0 is independent they require a pH of seven.2-7.8. you will might desire to confirm you get a kit with a 'intense variety' pH attempt for this. The ammonia desires to be 0 ppm, nitrites 0 ppm and nitrates under 20 ppm. If any of those are off it could reason tension, ailment or perhaps loss of life. the only thank you to suitable water high quality matters is with water ameliorations...50% emergency ameliorations in intense circumstances with 20-25% every day or another day till the situation is corrected. you additionally can use Kordon's AmQuel Plus to detoxify any ammonia or nitrites interior the water so as that the fish don't get ill yet use this with warning in a cycling tank because you would be neutralizing it and not permitting the nitrogen cycle to end. stable luck.

umm...
there's not really anything that you can do about it.
how long has it been cloudy. If you just changed the water, wait for the stuff to settle again.
If you've just changed the filter, have you rinsed the coal dust things in the filter before you put it in.

Try to use some of the non-cloud stuff at the pet store.
