I would like to buy this

but do I only get the bulb by itself, or does the lamp comes with it as well? i dont know if i have to get them separately? thanks

the width is 18'.....but i dont have a hood, just a cover

That is just the bulb. If you can't afford a hood or don't want to get one right now, you can use a simple desk lamp that hooks to the side of the tank. That's what I do and it works fine, and when the water gets to cool it helps heat the water up. I also have a black light lamp that I simply lay on top of my cover. Any lamp will work, but I would suggest buying a hood soon.

It comes with the bulb by itself. You need a hood for it. You cant expect to have a room in a house and buy a lightbulb without having a fixture in the ceiling. Buy a hood for your appropriate sized aquarium and fit the bulb in. Hoods can range from 20-30$. That is why it is always best to buy a kit. Always comes with a hood

The bulb is sold by itself, it does not come with the hood. When you are buying the bulb, you will need to know what size bulb will fit in the top/hood.

That's just the lightbulb itself, you need to buy the hood with the fixtures
I bought myself yesterday a t5 hood, which comes already with the bulbs installed
48 inch long with a pink and white light, which is good for plants in a Freshwater tank

it is olny the bulb the hood is separate
