I have a 20 gallon normal(not long) tank with 1 small angel about an 1 1/2", a 1/2" uaru, 2 bolivian rams (one is 2 1/4" and the other is 2"), 2 swordtails (1 1/2" each) and a dojo loach about 4". Is this too crowded? PS- I know the Uaru and angel get larger. I got that covered for when they do.

My bolivian ram has some red on the part of the fin that is connected to the body. It looks almost like blood. I raised the temperature and I am ready to use whatever medication necessary. He just got it a few minutes ago. Please tell me what disease he has! Should I quarantine?

But i hate fish!
Shell fish, guppy, salmon, shrimp and crab and lobster,
flounder. I hate fish, but I think most of all I hate fresh fish, like trout. I hate fresh trout. My least-hated, favourite fish would be sole. That way you don't have to see the eyes. Sole has no eyes. What about you?

My best friends family recently gave me a 20 gallon freshwater aquarium tank with everything i would need to get started. I have always wanted my own aquarium, but i have no clue what kind of fish to get. I want some that are either unusual looking or really pretty (not simple goldfish or anything), and i want multiple kinds of fish that will live great together. Any ideas or websites i could look at to learn more. I want to know what i'm doing before i go to the petstore to buy some. Any help!?

I have a couple of Oscars and a few of my friends have some carnivorous fish as well and we are tired of spending a ton of money each week buying feeders. Is there any way I could breed comets from my home in order to save a little money. Any information is appreciated.

I want to build a self-sustaining goldfish pond. I would like it to be about 10-14 feet around and a foot and a half deep. It can't be any deeper because of my younger siblings and cousins.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should go about doing it? What about brands you find work best in liners or other supplies? What should I stay away from?
What other things can I put in it? like snails or other fish. No koi, please.
What about algae/ammonia/nitrate ETC control?
Any idea on what it may cost?

Thanks!

This will be #'s 3 & 4. (I know... I'm obsessed with decorating my apartment with fish!) My first two are named Plato and Aristotle. I can't figure out if I should go with the greek theme and name the other two Sophoclese and Homer, or should I go with the European philosopher thing and name them something like Locke and Voltaire?
